    Apologies if done guys. Heard little in The UK. Did the monetary dispute get sorted or is it in the hands of the lawyers?

    Just back from Vegas - is it just me or are the GN and Binions losing pace with the casino's down thew strip? Grubby, difficult to get hold of and badly presented merchandise, etc etc. Seems a shame. The Freemont lights seem to be the main attraction down there.

    Appreciate your views, as an outsider.

    live in the uk - whilst they clearly are losing pace, there is no excuse for poor merchandising and clean gaming areas. they have history. visitors have money. ball dropped IMO. thanks for your valuable input and superb spelling and highlighting

    And a pretty funny joke as well.

    As for the downtown Vegas area, all the casinos are pretty bad (except maybe the Nugget) compared to the strip casinos. It's not that they are losing pace, they just can't blow up the old ones and build new ones like the strip can. That being said, Downtown Vegas still has a charm to it that the strip will never match (dollar drinks, cheap gaming, casinos thick with smoke).

    Downtown is the shit, lotta history down there. Dont get me wrong I would never stay down there, but fun as hell to stumble around fremont street.

    had an evening down there - lot of drinking and i agree, the place has charachter

    downtown vegas is not so cool anymore. it used to be fun looking for the cheap blackjack and craps tables. now it's easier to find a one-legged midget hooker than a single deck 3:2 BJ table.
