I very rarely play cash... but basically you're folding an overpair at a 6-max table at the first sign of resistance... that can't be the right play.

tough spot
if villain is competent then i fold. reads are realy important on this hand.
readless i think this is a fold
hes not going to raise the turn with AQ. only thing you really beat is a draw
he could have AA,QT,QQ,TT,88,22,J9,KJhh
i dont really see him raising with much else. just nit it up here and fold. nice laydown imo -
your bet sizing is so weak that this could mean anything. i guess you have to call and lose 60% of the time or whatever, because you sized bets so weak. an overpair here should be betting 80-100% pot
if youre that worried about a big pot just check the flop. -
agreed, bet size is very weak, you should be playing like you got f'n kings :D
I just got this drilled into my head in my own thread, so am paying it forward. -
From how I see it and how the hand went, he either repopped you with nothing, AQ suited, or outflopped you with his 88s or 22s...In my opinion, you most likely got outflopped because if he had QQs or AQ suited preflop you would probably be reraised, but 88s or 22s would want to call and see a cheap flop. Possibly even could be TTs if he is a luckbox. You most likely made the right fold, but the weak betting didn't help.
