Just wondering what a good ROI for these tourneys are, and what is a good sample size to actually get an accurate assessment of my play.
-
anything over 50% for 2000 games is good, apparantly
-
i dont know...I think i've racked up around 1000 in the last few months (need to confirm) , and i think the variance is too big in these for 1000 games to tell you how you're doing.
I'd like to get a concensus on this though.... -
If someone could give me my sharkscope on these things, I would really appreciate it.
I haven't played anywhere NEAR enough of these, but I know I'm down and I know I've got to be running at least slightly below expectation. *I think* -
We have the same ROI.. IVe played a few more. Meaningless in terms of sample size.. But im so far down now I'll never get it back. Especially in these where its just luck..

Thanks man, thought i'd actaully played a lot more than that. (if only i could stop donking it all off in Cash & MTTs)
-
50 percent roi?
uh
isn't that a little ridiculous/ -
50% over a good sample would be very solid. 75%+ would be fantastic.
...and no, 1000 games isn't nearly enough to be considered a relevant sample. That's not even enough for the 4.40s which are obv not turbos. -
No this is ridiculous Quasifiction

10,000 maybe 20,000 game sample is needed imo. It's possible for a 45% roi player to go on 2K+ game break even runs, I've seen it. Also, a friend of mine ran at 107% roi over his first 800 games in these and over his last 900 (he has 1700 game sample) he's run at 19% roi and he's obv better now than he was when he started playing them. 200+ buyin downswings are also possible.
As for sustainable roi... imo 45%-55% is sustainable for very good players. -
I have probably around a 150% RoI over 300 games. So I'd say thats is at expectation for me.

Though its a little outdated and the figures seem to be on the upside as far as what good results are, its pretty informative...<A target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.sitandgoplanet.com/multitable/mtt_freerolls/pokerstars_180_SNGs_Part1.html">

Top 20% Skill Group: 80% to 100% ROI +
Above Average Player (non specialist) 40% to 50% ROI +"

Quasifiction isnt a good person to look at for these tourneys... He plays 50+ of these in any given day...Not many people(id say less than .5%) can play a dozen tables at once and have success... If you have a +20% ROI in the 180s youre doing decent... Basically if your AK runs well against 1010 your ROI is going to be good in these... Gotta win a lot of flips... A LOT!

Scroll through this thread. Looks like the "best" are in the 50-70% range.
