  1. "Meanwhile, Goodlatte claimed during the hearing that online gambling helps terrorists by giving them a way to launder money, among other reasons, and therefore, his bill is another way to fight terrorism.

This is Goodlatte’s third attempt at getting a version of this bill passed. In 1999, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime also approved the legislation, but the bill died before it made it to the House floor."

Here is my take on this "low" IQ moron. Someone in his family has had a gambling problem or addiction. Second, he is a bold face liar as to his comments regarding terrorism. There is absolutely not one shred of evidence that this has ever occured-just throw it against the wall and see if it sticks.

How about this sticking? Both of the sponsors of this bill are from Virginia. I usually give to candidates in my area, but I will only donate to candidates running against these two people for the next few years. Is it possible for PPA to set up a political funding group to back whoever opposes these morons.

I hate when someone outright lies about "terrorism"-now using what occured 9.11 and in our wars as a political catch phrase for banning internet poker.

When a smart bomb goes off in one of our cities, are they going to ban gambling in America or the Playboy magazine b/c of there ability to funnel money into terrorism without any proof of this actually occuring?

It has only taken 5 years for certain deviants in our country to start throwing around the terrorist word when it is a "WAR" and not some BS about a poker bill. Let the idots in the media nad the popolation throw this garbage around, but when the politicians start doing it-time to run them out of town.

I'm for a healthy debate, but don't desecrate all the lives lost in this cause for your cause-just stinks and shows very low morale fabric.

PPA let us know if we can fight the poker war. Maybe by having less of these idiots in DC we can really get CONGRESS to focus and fight the real war against TERROR, and not poker!

  2. Well stated sir and well written. I am a member of PPA even though I play the micro of the micro tournaments online. It is ridiculous how they are linking everything they disapprove of or do not understand to terrorism. It is a pathetic way for a truly unkown Representative try to get known across the country in an election year.
  3. This is what our government is coming to if the politicians want something stopped they gain sympathy by using the terrorism arguement.
