right now GP is killin Mahatma
-
What table are rhey palying at, I can't find them
-
I sense a hit and run coming.
-
green plastic is killing mahatma.....this dude is so fuking good.. it's just scary!!!!!!!!!!
-
Feel free to post some hh's for those of us at work that need something to keep busy... =)
-
^^^^ agree with him
-
Green Plastic is at seat 3 with $35570.
Mahatma is at seat 4 with $11649. -
i respect GP...and everything but why the fuk do u hit and run everytime. It's sickening that everytime he has to leave he always have an excuse...every freaking time. he always used the excuse that his gf is sick...wtf man? if you are too afraid to play prahlad then don't play at all. same goes to shipitthisway dude...all i got to say is that even though mahatma talks a lot of shiet when he's losing...he's the man and he doesn't back down to anyone.
-
I really dont think GP would play at all unless he thought he has an edge, which he obviously does (think).
-
Well, I am not sure; don't know his mind, but he hit em good. I don't think that he is afraid, but what would you have him to do? Continue to play while he is up 2 Buy-ins until he gives it back or get to steppin while he is ahead? If I were playing heads up and I hit someone for two buyins, I am out. There is no rule that says he has to give back what he took off Mahatma.
-
Part of GP's edge, and one he didn't mention in his article, is that if you know he is only going to play for a short period of time, then you might play more marginal hands in an attempt to beat him.
I think it's all part of the plan, Mahatma knows GP won't stay long, and so has less hands to try to extract $$$ from him, so he plays worst hands more agressively.
It works, obviously. -
Agreed....
I mean how long do you have to play before it is not considered a "hit and run". Until the other guy gets his money back?
Tilt -
If Mahatma thinks Taylor is hitting and running, he shouldnt play him. GP just beats the shit out of Mahatma every...single...time they play. GP beats up on everyone he plays.
Its not a hit and run, some of you morons above. If Taylor kept sitting, he would continue to beat up on Mahatma. GP just flat owns everyone, shortrun or longrun, especially Mahatma. -
I think Taylor is a flat out genius but dude tells everyone he hits and runs around 30k. I certainly didn't mean it as an insult does it help that my prophecy was right?
I agree, he needs no excuse, just quit the guy. The very fact that Mahatma hates it so much is likely the reason he should continue to do it. -
I think Prahlad is a great player and we are friendly but I don't necessarily agree with you. Ego can sometimes cost you money. Much respect to the guy for hanging tough, I was there when Antonius hit 2 draws for 500k. But if GP isn't gonna play long, I don't think I would give him a lot of action. So it really is more on Prahlad.
-
Beanie did you just disagree with yourself? GP and Prahlad are all around badasses, if GP wants to do something else besides play it's up to him right. I know if someone told me to sit down at a table that I wanted to leave I would laugh my ass off. Who is anyone besides GP to say when he should stay or leave a table? It's his money, his time, the internet will be there tommorow, prahlad will be there tommorow, I'm sure GP will even be back tommorow.
-
I think we need to redefine Hit & Run.
Mahatma knows he will be playing GP again very soon. When I think of a Hit & Run, I think of someone that you won't ever see again and never have a chance to win from in the future.
One of the greatest benefits of online poker is the ability to find a game and play for 10 minutes an hour, or whatever amount of time you have available. -
winning a lot of cash then only stay to lose it all right back plus some is probably one of the biggest mistakes that a lot of players do on a regular basis. i am sure GP doesn't give 2 shits about who has to say what about him, like a hit and run crap. Please, at least he is smart enough and has a good game plan to know when enough is enough. cards only come so often when you are winning, then when you go on a few bad runs it could cost you dearly. When you play those kind of stakes and have so much money on the table, you better know how to maximize your profits and when you should call it a day.
-
I was responding to the guy up above but the way these threads work that isn't always apparent. I wasn't judging GP, I was just forecasting, and unlike most weathermen my forecast was right. If I knew it was coming certainly Prahlad did.
-
OK I thought you were making a multiple personality joke. Good call though, I didn't think you were judging GP, my comments were for the people saying he was scared to play and hit and run and what not. Beanie pwns
-
It's really simple... GP does in fact play very short sessions, often leaving when he is up around $30k or so. If PF knows this and doesn't like it he can sit out and refuse to play.....However, that won't happen because PF wants to play him...no matter how long and thinks GP is horrid luckbox that makes ridiculous moves (according to PF). Anyone who has ever read his text to GP during sessions would know this as well.
-
might wanna add, some of the profit for players like GP for example equal to roughly half my yearly salary and shit in just a few hours of play time....that is sick...i got to ask my bozz for a raise soon.
-
lol
i never understand exactly how mahatma supposedly is always getting "killed" whenver he plays. i mean, how is it that he is supposed to be this ridiculous cash player but is always getting "killed" by everyone? is this forum biased or does he really just donating to anyone and everyone who wants to sit down with him?? -
No he wins a lot too.
-
lol at this thread...
beanie, i love ya but you are out of your mind on this one! first of all, the session against prahlad was 48 min, i know this because of my Ptracker results. I've never heard of a 48 min, 312 hand hit and run!
second, i TOLD mahatma at 1:03 pm CST that I had to leave at 1:25 PM CST because I was going to the gym. I was going to the gym with someone so I couldn't change the time.
Beanie, maybe you weren't watching, but you "predicted" I would leave at 1:15.... i TOLD him i was leaving over 10 min before! also, i've never told anyone I leave when I'm up 30k... that's just silly. I leave when I have to or when I think I'm not playing well. Does anyone think I don't want to play mahatma when I am already up 25k and have a good handle on the game???
the bottom line is, i rarely play for over an hour or 1.5 hours straight. that is just my personal preference. you don't see me playing marathon sessions to get even, nor do you see me playing them when I am up big.
i'm tilted now because i lost my 3rd ipod at the gym last night... sorry.

didn't the great brunson say that in poker you can make the decision to get up at anytime after any hand no matter how long or short you've sat there. i hate when people get mad at the hit and run- it's legal....
-
mahatma=imsleeping, who had the best run ever (that i know of) at 50-100nl he cashed out of the table with about 250k.
