Is it just me or did that river 9 piss anybody else off?

gobbo pretty much crushed this tourney, and there's no shame in losing to Gus, who is a great tourney player. f haters.

Actually, Adam or Riley posted in a previous thread a few days ago saying that if posters make malicious comments about Jimmys weight that they will be banned.

On that note, he played a hell of a tourney. Obv. a very skilled player. He did come off as a total ass in his interviews though. Whether what he said was true or not, probably would have been better not said at all.

i wouldnt openly make fun of someone for being fat, but jimmy isnt a very nice guy. i used to see him go off on people in the chat box and act like an asshole, and from what i hear he wasnt very nice after he lost this aussies either. so whether hes a sore loser or just a dick in general, it doesnt matter. he cant expect people to be nice to him and not make fun of his obvious weight problem if he's not gonna show others a mutual respect.

let me reinstate what i said earlier. i dont know if he just has a temper and is a sore loser, or if he truly is a dick. how am i to know which is truly situation at hand here? i am just trying to relay to you that people "don't even know jimmy" (me) think that he isnt a very a nice person. so if i think someone isnt a very nice person i dont care to be nice to them. you see, as with many things in life, your actions dictate the result. jimmy's actions have made many people think that he isnt a nice person, so in turn, these people will not to be nice to him back.

and for the record, i was not attacking him in any way. posters above had been talking about people who make fun of his weight. my poinit is that if you are a nice to everyone to meet and no one dislikes you, then people wont make fun of your weight. when you act like an asshole at times and put a negative image of yourself in peoples minds, then its fair game as far as im concerned.

jimmy's mom stopped by and even posted that he is young and obviously regrets some of the comments that he made in those interviews.

Shouldn't a young man who is still learning what it means to be an adult be allowed to make a few mistakes, even if those mistakes are broadcast for millions to view?

Give the kid a break, hopefully he has learned something and can't we all just move on? Seriously, I made a ton of mistakes when I was his age, as I'm sure alot of others have as well. Its just that ours were never broadcast over the airwaves. I am sure it was a tough lesson for young Jimmy to learn, and that should be enough without all the bashing.

fwiw, i really enjoyed watching him own the entire field.

the hands he sucked out on were not played poorly by him imo, he ran into a lot of big hands

its always seemed ridiculous to me that gobbo gets made fun of constantly and is bashed for being an "ass" during interviews. Lets look around guys im sure we can find many many more players that are assholes to make fun of and have half the talent gobbo has.

Gobbo was outspoken about the bad play at the aussi millions. Wasnt that a poker interview and isnt this a poker forum? Seems like an appropraiate topic of discussion. That doesnt warrant bashing him about something totally unrealated to poker.

Its atrocious the way people attack gobbo about his weight. Id be ashamed to be that pathetic but whatever. I wonder if one person in this thread would walk up to gobbo at a live event and mock and ridicule him. I hope I witness it so I can kick ur fucking ass.

yes the overwhelming majority of live players are lightyears behind top online players. Its gunna be a big shock for live pros who have abused their weak opponents for years when all these 18 to 20 year old phenoms turn 21 and filter into the live circuit. Its only just begun. Call me arrogant and cocky for pointing out facts. I dont care.
