  1. Flame me, tell me to go screw myself, whatever, but hear me out.

Our options are pretty limited. Paradise had to sell off their poker business. The guys that now own it are just trying to bring back paradise to US players.

We should probably give credit to just about anyone who has the balls to serve US players right now.

What Sportsbook is doing is the exact spirit we need to keep our game alive.

Think about what the new owners of Sportsbook are doing. They bought paradise/sportsbook.com from sportingbet (yeah, for $1....but remember they took on like $10mil in debt, so they really paid $10mil for it).

Now they are saying fck the US government, we're going to provide poker to US players.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED TO HAPPEN!

If they have the balls, but then no one supoprts them, it doesn't send a good message to other people thinking about getting into the business to serve US players. Pretty soon we're gonig to be down to pokerstars and like 2 other sites.

I've emailed these guys telling them they need to bring back the $33 rebuy tourney paradise use to have.

If they brought it back, would any of you play in it?
  2. i wanna see how much cash they give me first...

they need to have a 1 mill garuntee....

thatd be sweet so far, theyve had 2100 players online tops....1k of which was more likely play money...huge overlay thered be like 900 entried 800 of which are degenerate sports bettors....90 places would pay....lol, pretty much only play AA and fold KK to a raise and your garunteed to make the money
  3. Ive played on there recently... watch the higher limit cash games for 5 mins and you will be struggling to get your CC out and get seated....
  4. Not gonna tell ya' to go screw yourself; but, sbp has too many bugs for my taste now; software f'n blows. Had to re-install 3 times in 4 days just to get the f'er to load. And, don't get me started about being frozen out during play, nothin like a software glitch w/ AA utg, no buttons to push as you watch your AA get mucked away. grrr....give 'em 6-8 months to catch up on software developement, THEN it'll be worth it.

    peace!
  5. If it's software issues, I understand, I was just trying to point out that people shouldn't be mad at paradise, and therefore not playing on sportsbook.

  6. the 80K-100K rebuy crashed all the time on dise anyway and everyone played it so yes, if they could ever duplicate even that 1 tourney I'm sure it would get some serious play. it was a crowd favorite!! (and mine as well!)

  7. I Paradise.

Oh how I miss my annoying table banter being posted in the middle where no one could miss it....

and the graphic "poof" of players not only knocked out of the tourney but have exploded and their bits vanished...
  8. Only if they seperate their sportsbook from the poker operation.
  9. i got a letter from them with a cd to download and the letter said there would be 50 waiting for me when i logged in with my paradise screen name and the 50 was there
  10. I got the letter, too. There's nothing wrong with free money to play with. the deposits and payouts are thru the paradise cashier screen, which is a little wierd but it was the only way i saw to find out how much they gave me. It's a little buggy, but nothing annoying in one day, playable. I think it has a similar late night tourney schedule.
  11. Link to this new software? I'm retarded so help me out.
  12. REVIEW: I played last night for the first time with my free cash.
The software is not horrible but it definately has some quirks.
1). There is no alarm to let u know it is your turn.
2). Cards did not show in one position so didn't know if player folded or not.
3). Bit of a pause between dealing hands.

Overall the speed of the game is fairly fast.
Give it a try with your free money but don't expect it to be like Paradise.
At least Sportsbook is not being intimidated by US Gov.

  13. The software comes from Cakepoker.com, so it is a little buggy, but after speaking to them I feel confident that they will get everything working to our satisfaction.
