Final Table of Absolute's 200k. 8 Left. You wake up with AKo, utg, with about 20bbs. Standard raise of 2.5. One shorter stack pushes allin, he's kind of loose. A stack bigger than you shoves over the top of him. This person is a tight player. Action back on you. Do you call off ur stack with AKo here?
After much thought, I actually folded. It still left me with about 12 bbs behind. My thinking was that I knew I was probably racing with the shorter stack, and if the bigger stack didn't already have me beat, we had the same hand which meant some of my outs were gone.
They both had pps, the first 9s and the second Qs, however, I would have ended up winning the pot. I wanted to get some feedback, however, on how ya'll would have played this hand and the thinking behind it! -
Call all day

I'm not sure how you started with 20bbs and opened for 2.5, then after the fold had only 12bbs. If you committed 8bbs of your stack already it's a call for sure but I'm not sure what you meant.
As played if you only have 2.5bbs invested I'd probably fold this. Second raiser has to give some kind of credit to your UTG open so he's shoving JJ+ AK there and like you stated you were racing. I think I still might call if it was AKs though. -
its a shove..the short stack has a wide range esp since you say hes loose and the bigger stacks range should be pretty wide as well and your only dominated by 2 hands

u said u have about 20 bbs and later u imply u had about 14.5. thats a pretty significant difference, although with AK im calling here either way

Thanks for ur input! The blinds situation I just simply messed up on when I was typing!! After folding I had about 15bbs left....got HH and checked! Sorry about that confusion!
I did go on to win the tourney, so luckily this fold didn't hurt me too much in the long run, however, if faced with this again, I want to make sure I'm making the best play possible! -
"I did go on to win the tourney" BRAGPOST
but seriously, congrats on the win. -
Shameless right??!! Thank you though!! obv my biggest score EVER! In all honesty, I did want advice on that hand, because I was so torn and made arguments for both sides! Looks like the general consensus is I misplayed it, so I will take that into serious consideration in the future!
