Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you guys know we did a small update that you all will notice. First, we updated our login window. This was handled by our security team and there will be some more security features added in the future. Secondly, we changed our hand for hand logic to only occur during the bubble and the final table. Please let me know if you see any issues or concerns with these changes.
Got some great things coming in the future and will strive to make our clients one of the top places to play at.
Regards,
APJohn -
Good job with the hand for hand change, that was the thing I disliked most about playing there.
-
Well done John! Thanks for listening to us! Keep up the good work!
-
You should change the subject line to AP/UB kind of thing so people see it clearer :)
-
Well done.
Here's something that's REALLY annoying: When the client is up and running but I'm in zero tournaments, I have to enter the pin all the time. Is this easy to fix? -
Hey Guys,
ApesAreFun, can you give me more details by PM. I am unaware of an issue like this. Any additional information you can provide would be great.
dgillis, we are looking at improving our replayer but the hh window will basically stay the same.
Regards,
APJohn
PS. Thanks for the suggestion about my vague Subject line... -
omg ty! i will put back some of my roll on there woo!

Thumbs down on the hand for hand logic. The system you guys had in place really promoted the "fold to cash" mentality. I always enjoyed being able to abuse each money bubble just that much more. Now the players will be virtually unaware that we are on a small money bubble and are less likely to fold.
Despite my displeasure with this change, thumbs up for maintaining communication with this forum and listening to our concerns! -
true but at the same time it hurt structures and more importantly was very tilting....i like it

tilting as shit and took alot of hands/time of play away

I noticed the new h4h logic while playing a 6 man table satellite with 1 payout. We were h4h with two tables remaining. Please look at the logic again.
APJohn, please have the programmers fix the issue where if you are sitting out (on purpose) and the system decides to move you to a new tables, do not sit the player back in. I often leave for 20 minutes at a time and hate coming back to zero timeclock when I purposely sat out. -
Hey dealace1,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are requesting that the new h4h logic only be applied to our tourneys that are paid out in cash.
The error is sitting out and being moved will be corrected as well. The developers are working on that now.
Regards,
APJohn -
I think you should have cashier window within the UB client because it is a pain for it to keep popping up through your browser!
-
You guys have that down IMO, maybe add hand marking? idk whatever you do don't make me pull up my HH storage folder to shoot some one a HH for discussion, FTP tilts me so hard with that. LOL thats all I really care about.

John...I just logged on this morning and noticed another update...is this just on what has been being talked about in this thread or something new?
Also...since you are active with us in the forums, is there any chance we can start a UP/AP Reg or Grinder thread for regular interaction with you guys going forward? I just think a centralized place to communicate would be extremely helpful moving forward, and I know some of us reg's would really love the open communication with you. Anyone have any other thoughts on this? -
i would like to +1 aretheseutz's comment about havgin to re-enter the pin every 60 minutes or whatever it is if you're logged into the client but idle. i used to keep my AP lobby open so that i could send money to horses when needed but lately i jsut have to close it anytime i'm not actively playing on AP because of how it is always bringing the client to the front of the screen and asking me to re-enter my pin. please make the pin a security feature used at the login screen and then maybe when accessing the cashier or something, but requiring re-entry as often as you do is pointless and quite tilting. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

I have this problem a lot too and it is so frustrating. The pin problem is also tilting but this is a much bigger problem. This always occurs while in the middle of a big session, whereas the problem with the pin only happens if you have not been using the server for a certain amount of time. So it is much easier to re enter the pin when not running any tournaments or games anyway then it is to close the server, log-in again, and then have to set up all your tables and sit back in each before missing any important or crucial hands because the client freezes.

Dark....I was having a lot of problems this past 2 months with the app. Tech support netmeeting'd into my computer and found out that my original install was corrupted. They unistalled the application, then removed the UB directory that was left behind, and started a fresh install and presto....my problems have gone away. If you don't know how to do this manually yourself, contact support about setting up a "netmeeting" appointment with you and let them go into your PC and do it for you. I really didn't think the problem was as simple as this but sure enough it was. The other thing is they are really good about working around your schedule and all the folks you will deal with are really nice to work with.

many times after i open the lobby from the table, the program freezes and i have to restart it. i would say it happens at least 50% of the time. please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope this helps! -
I just called vip support and I am currently waiting for a call back to complete a netmeeting. The tech support guy that does them is currently doing one for someone else so I should get a call back in like a half hour they said. I will let you guys know how it goes, but I really will not know if it resolved the problem completely for sure until I log a session tonight.

What I don't understand is that they know this has happened to many people yet still don't 'fix' it in an update. Why not just have an update that completely removes and reinstalls the application saving only the HH and other settings. Or at least make it a selectable option from the login screen where the application does the work. That would save having to teach a bunch of computer illiterate poker players from having to manually do it. It would save a bunch of support calls and make a bunch of support calls quick and easy to deal with.
