anyone know of a tool that displays actual ranges for a specific percentage of equity?
Im looking for something that can show me what type of hands someone would have to open shove for it to make sense for me to call with a given hand. I feel i'm going broke or making -ev calls because I just say "guy has to have a really wide range here, so I'll call with my xx". But I'm never certain of the actual range villian would have to be shoving to make me +ev. I think if I could visualize the actual holdings that represent the marginal hands in that range I'd be able to more easily find folds. -
Pokerstove sounds perfect for what you're describing, and it's also free, just google it. Also Hold Em Manager has a ranging tool in their hand reviewer, if you're looking to purchase a program that would work as well.
