    We'll assume no reads.

I assume my UTG 3x is standard, when pokeral76 comes in for the 3-bet, is it fair to put him on TT+, AK, maybe 99 or AQs? Could he really be 3-betting me light this early with only 23 BB?

spursdk's flat is odd, he's OOP with me UTG still to act behind him. He's getting 5:3 to play here, I suppose we can give him credit for TT-QQ, AK, maybe AQs, and maybe KK+ (if he wants to disguise his strenth? I can't see how he would just cold call here and not 4-bet AA, KK)

My call to close the action is again legit, I assume.

When spursdk leads the flop, he's essentially putting us both to shove or fold decisions. I doubt he would throw this bet out there with AK or AQ, as it's likely one of us has a legitimate pocket pair, so is it safe to tighten his range to TT-QQ (JJ obviously unlikely) and maybe AA or KK?

If we go another level here, I think both of these guys can take KK+ out of my range, and probably QQ also, as I likely toss a 4-bet in pre-flop (can they take out AK too?), leaving me with 99-JJ, AQs.

So, with pokeral76 to still act behind me, the range I've put these players on, and the additional level I've gone to, is this an easy laydown? It looks like I can't beat spursdk, and he knows that, and we're both still in the dark about pokeral76.

Thanks for the responses, and please feel free to correct my ranges and add in your own take!
  2. i fold pre here. his 3 bet with so little chips is screaming strength i dont think hes 3 betting a utg raiser like this with such a short stack with anythign worse then aa kk. this is the sunday million though and early, i think its either a shove pre or a fold. im folding but that mayy be nitty. i think flatting is the worst play

  4. The only reason to call his 3-bet pre-flop is to set mine. I fold after flop. He might have AK or air here, but maybe less than 10% of the time.

  5. very easy fold pre.. fold>shove>flat

  7. idk, i really like your analysis, i feel like ive been flatted like this many times by JJ and QQ exclusively while they hope to dodge the A or K high boards...i would fold flop, i think you played it pretty well...

I would agree, you anlysis is pretty spot on, J-J is not what you want to stake your tourney life on this point. But I thought the preflop bet was fine.

no it means that when he opens jj utg and a shortstack with 13bbs 3 bets for half his stack he folds since this totally polarizes the 3 betters range as super strong. and the sb flats, which is rare, i dont know baout u but im not flatting 3 bets from the sb very light
