  1. i have a few questions for all of you GOOD players and the players that make a profit or living playing this wonderful/horrible game. lol.

question 1: how do you handle the bad beats that these terrible fish put on you? i get so angry sometimes because i make the correct raise or play and i STILL get sucked out on when the player has no odds to even be in the hand. yes, i know, its poker and it happens but come on, sometimes its so bad that it makes me want to quit the game.

question 2: how do you consistently make money online against the terrible fish players and the random card droughts and bad beats that can last for days/weeks on end? i can seriously sit at a table for 3 hours and not get anything better than 38 Q2 the ENTIRE time. then i get KK and i lose to 444 on the flop after reraising HUGE preflop. i dont get it. what am i doing wrong?

please, any advice would be great. muchly appreciated,

    avieri
  2. Be chilling.
  3. A) Dealing with bad beats just comes with playing for a while. The longer you play the easier they get. B) More importantly, proper BR mgmt. You shouldnt get upset about losing 2 or 3 buy ins in a short while due to suck outs, because you should have much more in rserve. If you are truly getting upset with each and every bad beat, then you are probably playing over your head.
  4. Hard to handle playing lower limits when you go all in KJos and some f**kstick calls your all in with Q4os and hits runner runner (two pair) on the site of all sites...pokerstars (that shouldn't surprise anyone). Oh yeah him calling my all in was for just slightly more than 1/3 of his stack!!
  5. I hope this is a joke because KJo isn't exactly the strongest hand in the world. Given blind levels and the point in the tourney (I hope this was a tourney situation) Q4 could easily be the correct call there.

  6. Play lots of tables at a time. The more hands you see in a short span of time, the less you'll care if you lose some of them when you get your money in ahead. I find particularly playing sngs, I have to get in behind fairly often (just having to push a lot late), and I see myself put the beats on some people too. More importantly, though, the more hands/sngs/tourneys you get in, the better chance you have to get some good results mixed in with your bad results. Good players prefer playing bad players, so remember to stay in the first group....it's hard to realize this until you're up against a bunch of strong players and you just find yourself constantly getting outplayed. Learn to beat the fish, and play enough hands that your edge stands out.

  7. Sit n go 5 handed and they limped with it and I was short stacked and around 5xbb so i pushed and he called with that sick ugly f**king hand!!!
  8. what adam said.

ADD: when you do flop a set and some donk calls all the way and you win and add a mountian of chips to your stack... (and trust me, this happens a lot at these lower limits) REMEMBER this feeling, put it in a bottle, so you can open up the bottle and remember it for the time that the guy gets runner runner and beats you.

you'll have 5 solid wins when your opp calling stationed it with ace 8 on the flop, turn and river when you had top set, for every 1 suck out -- at these levels, assuming your playing some solid aggressive poker.
