1. Since nobody else has done so already, I'm looking to assess interest in having a running discussion of HOH3 for the P5's board. While the book is not perfect (there are many typos which are easily recognizable....where applicable, I will be correcting such errors in the main post) it's a pretty damn good read and worth talking through.

However, I will NOT be posting more information other than what will be beneficial to the discussion for obvious reasons. In case I am being unclear, you will not be able to participate in full discussion unless if you own a copy of HOH3. Also, I'd tend to discourage questions such as "what's a continuation bet?", taking threads off topic, bashing uselessly, and anything else which will lead to me hunting you and your family down with a blunt object. Also, HOH1 and HOH2 are not full prerequisites, but will greatly assist in how many "correct" answers you're giving as HOH3 is based on those concepts.

The format will be at least two problems a week led by yours truly. Well.....I'll create the threads and open up the discussion with my decisions and put it out to the board for discussion. Let's avoid answers based of "A" and "I RAISE", but have some genuinely well thought out responses.

Harrington on Hold em Volume III --Yeah, it's $18. Personally, I laugh at people who go to Barnes & Noble to read everything in spurts. Do the publisher a favor and pay the money. It's easily worth ten times that.

Discussion will be starting in the next week or so depending if there is interest here, so if you don't have the book and want to be involved, now would be a good time to buy it and maximize your learning. Ideas? Thoughts?
2. Thanks Malfaire, as you know I would love to see this discussion get going, and similar focus groups if there is interest.
3. Sounds like a winner! I am on problem 27 right now and have enjoyed doing the 'quizzes' thus far. I am having some success in finding holes in my game. One serious hole is I don't take the time to think it through like I should. As a side note to that, I was watching GSN's High Stakes Poker on Monday, I really liked the part where DN takes the time to 'think outloud' when trying to figure out what TB had when DN folded the nutflush. My new poker slogan is "T.I.T."...Think It Through!!! Interested in conversations.
4. I'm in

9. Just got it today in the mail and will start reading it next week so yes I'd love to be in on it too.
10. I just read it on my flight home, and i'd be willing to help walk through the problems. The part that is especially interesting is the section on SNG play, on the bubble, and your range of calling hands against an all in. Really interesting stuff.

11. Great, really glad to hear people are interested.

I agree, GB, in fact, this section is where I lost many points overall.
