FRom time to time i transfer money to and from my wifes account. This is not a multi accounting thingy or whatever. SHe hasn't played in a few months and rarely plays anything but very small sngs etc. So i go to transfer money and she gets this email from stars
Hello Tracy,
Your transfer request was placed on HOLD.
It has come to our attention that you have no been playing with the funds
in your account. We would appreciate if you could provide an explanation
to this situation.
Our transfer privilege is only available to allow players to fund their
accounts in order to play when they can not deposit funds with their own
deposit options. We are restricted by our licensing agreements in the Isle
of Man that prevent us from being able offer a real money transfer service
for the purpose of cashing out. This is why we can not allow cashout from
transferred funds.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Kind Regards,
Patricia

Apprently they are keeping thses funds for whatever reason and her history shows nothing of a trasnfer period! Thanks in advance! Riggsb/extremetilt14 -
Has she actually deposited on there before?
-
Normally, there is a volume of buy-ins or hands played they'd like to see before you can cash out transferred funds.
-
no they're saying that in order to cash out funds transferred to you, you need to play a little. actually a good idea by stars to maintain issues when accounts are hacked and funds are transfered to another account and imm. cashed out.
-
If you ever win the sunday million you'll be able to cash it out no problems. If you transfer the $200k to your wife, she won't be able to cash it out until she plays a certain amount. I not 100% how it works either...
... i doubt stars is taking the money for good, just email them and tell them why you are transferring funds etc and it'll all be good.
remain calm :-) -
Man that is so fcked up, If they are seriously refusing to give you legit money of yours i would stop supporting their site immed. Pretty sad that the state of online poker has gotten to this where innocent people are gettin screwed in the name of over cautious security.

Sorry i dont really have anyt advice on this situation as i have never delt with cashouts on stars before. I really hope you get things sorted out man -
Wow, I took a wrong turn somewhere.
Back to OT. -
I recently swapped percentages with a friend in a tourney and he ended up going pretty deep for a decent score, i emaield stars wondering how much I would have to play before i'd be able to cashout the funds and this is the email they sent me. hope it helps.
Hello Ryan,
Thank you for your email.
Before you will be able to cashout transferred funds you received into
your account, you will need to meet our new playing requirement before
your cashout will be processed.
Our new cashout policy requires you to accumulate at least 15% in VPPs on
the amount of the funds you wish to cashout, which stems from transferred
funds.
To make this requirement easier to understand, you can think of needing to
accumulate 15 VPPs for every $100 you received via transfer that are
attempting to cashout.
If you would like to know more about VPPs and how to accumulate them,
please visit the following links on our web site.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter and would ask that you let
us know if you have any further questions.

What is the percentage on Tilt?
-
well with her rarely playing to them it just looks like you dumping money to a second account to hold with or cash out from. and yes, at least in the days of neteller the sites would block you from cashing out without playing because they were covering the fees for you.
