On the edge of my seat waiting for an update....
Maybe you should go to Vegas and go to the corner table at Bellagio and ask Doyle personally if he could give you the $300 he owes you. -
Don't start...
You're entering a WORLD OF PAIN DONNY! -
I usually dont step into stuff like this but i feel compelled to say something since u always have something negative to say and like to stir up controversy pocketboat........
First of all, Mikey has a valid complaint about doyles room not giving him the money that he earned off their free 5 dollars. if the site was truly concerned about its players it would have formed some sort of compromise with him instead of forcing him to jump thru hoops to get the money he earned by generating rake for them.
Secondly there is no need for u to post a second thread on the issue and basically make a derogatory smart ass comment at him.....if u dont like his posts dont respond bc quite frankly all u do is make urself look like a jackass.
Finally i recommend gaining a better outlook on life if this is how u get ur jollies...take up dead bear humping or something.....i know a guy who goes by mantis that can give u some pointers......so to recap, get off mikeys back and stop posting negative threads, that is all gg sir -

I checked out the Doyle's skin room offer too (I got poker). In BIG LETTERS on the disclaimor it states that you have to wait 30 days before you withdraw the said money. Hmmmm, boy Mikey is sure getting screwed here.
Why he should have to wait the specified time, that was known to him (assuming he knows how to read) and understood by him is beyone me. I don't see how waiting 30 says is going to hurt either party considering IT WAS PLASTERED ALL OVER THE AGREEMENT FROM DAY 1.
2 options:
- wait the fricken 30 days and then get your money. It will still be there, the money unfairness fairy will not take it, nor will Doyle use it to buy another cowboy hat.
- challenge the poker room: I'm sure you will get far with this, considering that their contract was not misleading in any manner. What body of justice is going to uphold such an absurd agreement? hmmmm, go get Mikey, how dare they hold you to the terms of the contract you agreed upon.
my guess is that the 1st option is much more appealing, but I haven't walked in your shoes. -
(yawn)
Lighten up soc...just teasing a running joke...
And I have no idea what you are talking about "always have something negative to say and like to stir up controversy"...please read my post history before you lob baseless accusations.
Once again, (yawn) -
I hate "The Yawn."
Too cliche at this point. -
Whoever came up with "the yawn" needs to be kicked in the box.
-
LoL, i actually found pocketboat's post funny. I "lol"'d when i saw the title in the discussion forum.
That being said, thanks Wein and Socman for having my back, f bgx.
Blue,
"I checked out the Doyle's skin room offer too (I got poker). In BIG LETTERS on the disclaimor it states that you have to wait 30 days before you withdraw the said money. Hmmmm, boy Mikey is sure getting screwed here."
In response to that, yes, the 30 day waiting period is lame, and yes it is stated everywhere, but THAT is not the problem i have with it. THe problem i have is that after talkign to many representatives of the site, i was told that i would have to earn 130 action points (!!!) for every $1 i wanted to withdraw once the 30 day period is up. I had NO idea about this, and maybe its my fault for not reading the small print, but i do not recall seeing it anywhere.
I currently have $512 in my account. Whats $512x130? A whole fucking lot. Playing two tables of $1/$2 limit hold'em, i can generate about 500 points an hour. I work and am a full time student, and therefore reaching the necessary point total by the time the month is up is going to be IMPOSSIBLE. That being also, that i DONT GO BROKE by then trying to get the absurd amount of points.
I understand its free money, bal bla bla bla bla. The fact of the matter is, they "leant" me $5 free. How much money do you think ive generated for them in rake? From $5 to $512 in a week's time? I have 7,000 action points. Im going to need at least 53,000 more. How much rake will i have generated THEN? Id LOVE to hear an accurate # of as to how much money im actually making this site.
They completely refuse to free up the money for me, even after i volunteered to take a huge "pay cut" if they would let me cash out now, no strings attached. I told them they could let me cash out $200 (of $512) right now, and keep the other $312 to do with what they please. Seems like a fair deal to me.
If you dont understand my gripe here, im sorry, maybe im not explaining it well enough. The fact of the matter is that i cant just "sit back and wait" for the money, because im going to need to earn an absurd amount of points in order to cash out MYYYYY winnings, and its very likely that i'll go broke in the process.
Fuck free $, i'd rather work at mcdonalds than for doyle. -
OBV it was Sheets. So RIGGED. He should EMA. Yawn.
You cannot play a tournament on stars without seeing those 4 cliches come up in the chat box at some point. Thanks a lot, whoever it was. -
Ok Mikey,
Now you are starting to make a little more sense. Most of the posts seemed to be centered aroundt he 30 day waiting period.
Your beef surrounding the required points for cashout has a little more grounding (in legal theory anyway). I didn't look at the agreement for that, but if in fact it was not in the agreement, or was manipulated in such a way (i.e. fine print) where it would be difficult to ascribe, then you have a legitimate beef. In this case that would be an additional term of the contract that was not specified at the time of assent.
However I am just talking in legal terms. Being offshore (which I am guessing this site is) American legal theory would be of little use. ALso, I am assuming that hte agreement contained no (or misleading) refereences to the required number of points. If it was there, was clear, and you just didn't read it, then even American legal theory offers no remedy. I am not even suggesting that this is a legal issue, just looking at it from that perspective. It obsiously wouln't be worth it to pursue it in court.
Maybe you can find someone willing to buy the money from you for a discount (would be better than nothing, and still free money)
If you were good enough to turn $5 into 300+, then you are probably good enough to at least stay around $300 and get your necessary points if worst comes to worst.
GL to you in geting your money out; I hope it works out for you. -
has the whole world gone CRAZY!?!?!?!?
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE RULES!?!?!?!?
MARK IT ZERO! -
I think this was mentioned before but why not just get in a HU match with a buddy and lose it?
-
Blue,
I appreciate the response. I talked to another service rep for probably a half hour last night nad was finally told that i WOULDNT need 130 points per every $1 i planned to cashout, and that the other reps had been wrong in telling me that, as it was part of a previous promotion and they must have been confused. What? Yeah i know, whatever. All i have to do now is wait til dec 9th, which is frustrating, but nothing at all like needing to earn 65,000 points.
Fivestar,
They have some crazy "security policy" in which they monitor every table for chip dumping and the like. They even state this on their site. They also state that any account even suspected of dumping will be frozen. yuck.
