  1. How much skill is actually involved? I am watching the 500/1k on stars and it seems like whoever runs better wins. I mean, assuming both players are relatively skilled - how can one player really have an edge over another playing in heads up LIMIT...

    Am i missing something?

  2. its a small edge but its there.

  3. yes, thats basically how john dagastino got his BR. He played shorthanded limit alll the time last year
  4. there is def. an edge... ive played limit for 2 years.... though the edge is hard to find against good players... its all about redognizing betting patterns ... ther is a lot more skill involved in limit than most no limit players think, but none of them have any idea cuz they don't play limit for any serious period of time... u need at least a year to get good at it
  5. i personally think its bets to start out playing limit, then move to no limit... i dont think its as easy to do it the other way around.. plus playing limit lets you see exactly what kind of hands people play cuz there are more showdowns... i think its the best way to get the basics of poker down
  6. I've played limit and understand the game - I'm more curious about two "good" players playing heads up, just seems silly to me - there are only so many things one can do...as oppose to NL
