  1. Whats the rule of thumb for number of buyins? Most of what I read only discusses 1 table SNG.

Fine to assume ROI of ~10%

    Thanks all.
  2. any help would be great thanks all

  3. I don't play them often but I would guess:
    80 Pro
    50 Protected
    25 Unprotected

The ROI of 10% contributes a lot to variance. Bump that up to 20% and you will see noticably fewer swings.
  4. Oh really, I was thinking qualitatively you'd need less buyins to protect for headsup than you would for 1 table SNG.

Could be wrong - but I was thinking something like 50 / 30 / 15 for HU, if the below is true for 1 table SNG. (Totally agree on your point about raising ROI, but lets just be conservative). Am I missing something about HU vs 1 table SNG?

    <TABLE cols=4 width=400 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>SNG</TD><TD>65 Entries</TD><TD>45 Entries</TD><TD>20 Entries</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

  5. Shouldn't this be the other way? 50 Unprotected, 25 Protected?
  6. I've got a ? as well. What does the Pro Protected unprotected mean?
  7. Basically

pro = you can never bust if you are a winning player
protected = you probably are save but if you start losing you need to quickly drop stakes
unprotected = theres a pretty good chance of going bust, you need to be able to replace bankroll quickly

  8. Alright. I was still confused when I first read it. But kind of your chance of a wipe out losing streak. Thanks.
