talking about 1/2 NL holdem Cash Game Headsup
Ok so when i play the headsups i always buyin for 200. the max even when someone has 120 i still buyin for 200. Is that stupid should i just buyin for 120 as well or is it a n advantage that i have over 80 chips. Or if i am sitting down with 200 and i a guy sits in for 100 i usually play him but anything lower i dont play him. Now say i stacked someone already and i have 400 and a guy sits in for like 120 or 100 is it worth it for me to play him cause im risking more or do i have an advantage.
And the same thing if i have like 1,000 dollars and a guy buys in for 200 i mean is it really worth it to play him? and if i had a 1,000 dollars at a table i wouldnt play someone unless they probably bouhgt in full
when i am finding a table to play for i like finding players that are already sitting there with 3 or 4 buyins and i buyin for max and i like this cause even tho im shorter than them i feel like i can win more off of them with risking less. But do they really have an advantage ove rme cause they have a bigger stack. I feel they dont because i can always reload.
So some of what i am getting at is it worth it to risk like 5 buyins against 1?
Is it somewhat of an edge to have more chips than ur opponnent(even tho they can always reload after every hand)? -
anyone have a take on this?

I think much of your answer is gonna come from yourself. If you are the type of player who likes to make a lot of plays/ bluffs I would say that yes you shouldn't sit with short stackers because runnings these types of plays would be a lot harder for you because of stack sizes not being deep enough. I find a lot of the time I can get a full buy in or two in HU cash from just playing short stackers because most of them are very very bad. I think you should also ask yourself if you are the type to tilt. Example, you are sitting with $400 @ 2/4 NL and a short stacker comes and doubles up off you and stays. Are you going to play the same game you would normally play? Or tilt and rush to get it back or bust him? If you can play the same game it essentially doesn't matter how much you have on the table because if he's sitting with $200 and you with $1000 he can only win $200. But if you are the type where he doubles up and you tilt you are potentially going to spew away the rest then I would advise you to sit out and ask him to join you at a new table with even stacks.
