1. Ok so this is the deal, I usually deposite 100$ into my full tilt account so thats my bankroll, I play cash games only currently 6 player tables not so much HU cuz i find my bankroll is to little, I buy in 10$ at every table so that gives me only x10 my buy in and I play at 0.25/0.50$ stakes were the min is 10$ buy in.

So I find I can do good at times were I can make 30$ in a hour 20$ in a hour etc... but second I hit a couple of bad beats that hurt my bankroll i tend to tilt till im broke or have to change my game and play super tight cuz my bankroll is low or lower.

I think that I am playing with to low of a bankroll which I should have x40 my buy in and I think that for $10 buy in i should be at a lower limit Am i right? If so could you please help me find a good stakes to play at and tell me whats a good bankroll and also for the amount I buy in and stakes I should be playing what should my hourly goal be ? and one more thing any tips on helping myself when I tilt?
  2. If you play on Full Tilt you should take thier Free (( Full tilt Poker Academy )) Has very useful information on Bankroll Management..And Lots of free videos from the Pros to Help you control your game and Bankroll.. Good Luck
  3. Read Fox's article on Bankroll Management. (http://www.pocketfives.com/poker-art...gement-2425952)

Depending on what your poker goals are, it sounds like you are playing WAY too high for a $100 roll. You're shortstacking, which in the long run is -EV. Buying into games for the minimum limits moves significantly.

Even playing at .5/.10 NL and buying in for max ($10), you're risking 10% of your roll which is no good. You should be at .1/.2 cent absolutely grinding.

Invest in the $1 MTTs & SNGs as well. LOTS of people just willing to give it away. Stick to ABC poker at low limits and you will jump quick.

Put it this way, my goal every day is to increase my bankroll by 1%. If you do this with an $100 bankroll, you will have $200 in just under 95 days. This means you would just have to double up ONCE at a .1/.2 cent table to make your dollar. Pretty simple if you ask me. Just stuff it in with the nuts and some spewhead will call you.

FYI -- Tilt is the worst thing that can happen to a cash game player cuz you will spew with Ax, small PPs, etc. Just sit out for a half hour, grab a snack and/or a drink, realize what put you on tilt, and ONLY sit back down when you have the spazz out of your system. You need a clear head to play poker.

    GL @ the tables.
  4. yea I think your playing wayyyy above your bankroll...hey guys I have a question Im looking to deposit about 2k into
a good cash game poker site.... fulltilt or ultimatebet? And if I multi table whats the right limit to play at 0.10-0.25? or 0.25-0.50?
  5. You shouldn't ever feel like your game should change because of the size of ure BR... play the table
  6. Take yourself to PokerStars, and play the lowest stakes.

And play above your stakes, get dealt a couple bad beats, and be down 4-5 buy-ins? If he's playing .1/.2c and gets a bad beat, it's only 1% of his roll. If he's playing .25/.50c w/ $10 and gets hit with a bad beat, it's 10% of his roll. A lot more difficult to bounce back.

If he's just playing for fun, then sure, sit and spew away at .25/.50c. If he wants to take his game serious and not re-deposit within a week, then I suggest starting at a lower level.
  8. OP, besides the fact that I hate short stackers..., you should move down to like 5nl and grind it out until you have a roll to move up...and even then you should focus on playing a lot of volume instead of making a quick buck. $100 says the main reason you tilt is not because you took a beat, but because you look how damaged your roll is afterwards.

Take the time to learn SNGs and MTTs as well. For the amount of people that enter a $1, $2, or $3 MTT, it's definitely worth your time to try and bink one of these. Yes, it takes 8+ hours in the big fields, but for a $1 investment to hit for $1.6K for a "W" in the Daily Dollar, take a shot at some of those.

If you just don't have the time and are going to stick to cash, then I suggest dropping down. With a $300 roll, hit up the .5/.10c games to start building your roll and move up appropriately. In your roll, you should have AT LEAST 25 buy-ins at MAX LEVEL at all times to appropriately move up. If you drop below that 25 mark, drop back down to a "winning place" and start over again.
  11. 330 90 Mans KO's
With 100 bucks you should never have to redeposit again. Build it up to like 300 play the 650's. Then you have some BR to play some cash games..
  12. I wholeheartedly agree the $3 KO tourneys are very lucrative!!!! Just started playing them and have cashed 4/5 not typical but they are nice.
  13. Lets just say I have 400$ br and I buy in 10$ giving me x40 buy ins and I play good poker meaning I go in most hands with the top hand etc.. and I play 0.5/0.10 6 player tbl for 5-8 hours a day and I only leave the table when i either double up or go bust with the 10$ how much should I try to make hourly without getting greedy?

And is it smart to go in a room play till i double up and then leave and go to a new room or should i stay in the other room for the whole hour ? I like to go in a room play for a while till i double up and I leave is that wrong? or is it smart to leave when im up before i lose?

    and ideas or help?

  14. Ok, lots of questions here I can answer for you....

    1) If you are playing .5/.10c for 8 hours a day, you can expect to probably make $5/hour (approx. $40) playing ABC poker.

    2) Doubling up and leaving is always interesting to me. I like to let fish sit with me when I have a big stack because I know they are thinking, "big stack = good player or luckbox, I'll sit for a few hands and find out." However, it'll sometimes only attract better players to sit with you thinking they can sit w/ 1/3 of what u have and take it all. IMO -- Double up and head out to a new table at those .5/.10c stakes. At higher stakes, it all depends on table dynamics and how you are running.

    3) Don't EVER leave a table when you are running hot/playing well. If you are tilting people, they will hand money over to you. Sit as long as you can until you think you are no longer profitable (either too tired, getting bored, better players have come in, etc.). Then get up, take a break, and come back to a new table.
  15. Just wanted to thank everyone for your help I am currently doing very very well, been avg 7-10$ a hour and having a + profit every day since i moved down stakes im currently playing 0.5/0.10 and finding it alot better since im not getting bullied around!
