    As one of the guys breaking the news, I've taken it on myself (tbh, because I've got nothing better to do - thank God I never really played much on AP) to compile a bunch of this information from multiple sources and get a clearer picture of what went on at AP these last few weeks. Schneids is handling the LHE side of this since he's got the contacts, and I've taken the NL/MTT angles.

    Unfortunately, we have a major problem. AP hand histories that are emailed by support only go back one month (they don't keep them past that - thx crack security crew) *and* the HH's that they send out are mangled, with actions somewhat out of order. They are readable, but not importable into PT, so somebody has to go through them all individually and look for evidence one way or the other. In addition, I'm only one guy and have to go to an APPT event next week, so I won't be coordinating this after that, regardless.

    I am asking everyone involved with this who has ever played a hand with Payup, Graycat, DoubleDrag, Steamroller, or Potripper to look through their PT database and carefully look through those hands. Look for things similar to, well, retards who read souls. They're ridiculously easy to spot. If you do not have PT but have played with them in the past month, ask AP to send you those hands.

    We want to know 1)when this started, 2)how widespread this was, and 3)how long it went on. Due to a couple of hints from reading HH's, I personally suspect that this hole card application runs on a separate computer and has to be manually pointed to the table that the user is playing at. In other words, there is a good chance that the cheater is limited to one table when doing this and cannot just hop tables without adjusting the hole cam viewer first. Look for evidence for or against this, as well. Finally, if you find clear evidence of cheating, make sure to note the timestamps - we especially want to know about anything before August 23'rd.

    If you find anything, make it public - post it here, in the 2+2 thread, wherever. Also post this particular letter on other poker forums that are frequented by high stakes AP players. The word has to spread; in order to prevent AP minimizing the damage to themselves at the cost of the players involved, we must have an accurate picture of the damage done.

    I emailed AP for the hh from the ft of the $1k the night potripper beat me to look at every hand individually from the ft as those are prob more important and valuable then all the hh's that are posted from earlier in the tournament. Ill post them once I get.

    i think if some software engineer is smart enough to develop a program like this, they are also smart enough to develop another program that could block the poker website security from being able to detect this... ie running it off another cpu with the other program acting as a type of firewall against the poker clients security...

    The theory is false.

    1)Ptrack Pat confirmed on the PT forums that there was no virus ever uploaded to the site;

    2)The first cheating account was active on August 23'rd and could have been around before that.

    its really hard to say which end it was hacked on, but its either ap or SAID USER.

    i read through much of what was going on on internet, and i do believe you need alot more going on than HH's esp for PT users(im not saying PT has anything to do with it, but that is where most folks are getting their HH's from.)
