Ah, right at home now...
-
is there anywhere you can watch it live online? or do i have to wait for pokertube
-
-
i'm using this show as a reason to take a break for an hour before i get back to grinding all night long. maybe i'll pick up some saweet moves!!
-
sometimes it's actually upped to youtube pretty quickly. gsn has a youtube channel i think. otherwise i usually get it off the pokerbay.
-
they banned prop bets on this season, wtf!?
-
yah i'm pretty disappointed they let AJ Benzo (i think thats his name) go. its definitly dry and i thought the banter back and forth was great. it feels strange just listening to one guy talk. it makes no sense to change it up when its a top rated show.

1st off anyone entering this thread should expect spoilers imo.

ill leave it broad, but im pretty sure altho this time he saved money, a bunch of times hes losing value
i'm kinda torn between his smooth on the riv. while he might be losing value not raising, he might also know antonio isn't going to bet 3/4 pot into him when hellmuth smoothed the turn with only a str8. i dunno. i'm prolly just smoothing. -
The poker itself is good, but the whole charm of HSP has gone way down imo, with only Gabe and all this interviewing and little fluff pieces.
HSP has become like every other pokershow, which I don't usually watch. -
wow wat a letdown, hopefully sammy will change his mind and come back for season 7
the 2nd and 3rd lineup should be alot better tho -
ivey guns like rod
-
link?
-
Ivey's joke after the QQ hand was pretty funny. He can make some funny jokes when he wants to.
-
gabe is a great comedian and knows his poker but he worked much better with a straight man (AJ)
seems like with this new format they r trying to b more like PAD
bad move -
why does phil h continue playing cash games? hes so bad and out of his element. example... even tho he was beat not raising the k high 3 card flush board. hes gonna be -ev in cash in the last few yrs. luckily for him he can play tournaments well.. and lmfao about him saying ivey is lucky and he could take him for a mil or 2 in a day. wont ever happen
-
If you think a player couldn't beat Ivey out of $1m in a day you don't understand variance.
Ivey would admit on any given day anyone can get that lucky, he once said his little sister could beat him on any given day. But Hellmuth clearly can't compete with these guys even if he was losing to coolers in this episode. -
given phil's image its prolly correct for him to just call turn call river. of course when its correct for u to call turn call river with the 2nd nuts ur doing something wrong. this one hand tells u alot about how he thinks other people at the table perceive him
-
phil played real weak and the interviews made him look even worse. i don't expect anyone, espciallys a highly competitive poker pro, to give a good interview after losing a big pot.
they add that, and take away prop bets (which was great poker table banter). the show seems more geared towards the casual fan now with how much they are explaining things (for example how many outs they have) and giving lame interviews.
for the more hardcore fans of poker this show used to be great cause it catered to us. we all loved seeing stupid props. we loved hearing the funny (and yes sometimes corny) poker banter between gabe and aj. oh well, i mgiht still watch it but it might not be must watch tv and honestly if it doesn't get better as far as to the production i prolly will jsut watch it on those random occasions im watching tv and nothing else is on. -
Because it's televised and he's an attention whore.
-
I understand variance trust me... i was just trying to get my point across that he is fairly far out of his league on this show and any high stakes cash games I have seen him in in the past year or two. Sure he can crush cash games but not the ones that are televised anymore imo.
