I was playing in my local illegal cardroom the other night. All the guys that play there are usually an older crowd but everyone is a regular. We're playing 1-2 R.O.E which has about 2-3K on table but that night there was around 8K which was pretty big for that crowd. It's about 3am and i'm up about 300 when one of the guys that was smoking outside(who is definitely not in on it) comes back in with 3guys behind him wearing masks. One has a fkn assault rifle and the other a pistol pointed at the table. "Everyone get your hands and heads on the table". "Mother fker" I say to myself as i'm complying. The game was soo good. I had my leather jacket over my lap and i shake it off and kick it to the ground under the table just hoping they wouldn't find the $800 i had in it. They ask who's running the game and he speaks and shows them wear the $$ is. After they get that money they tell us to put our keys phones and jewelry on the table. They begin to search us one by one to check if we got anything else. One on the guys, a shady dude who I personally know to do some dirty sh*t tries to hide his rolex under the sleeves of his longsleeve shirt. They bust him upside the head. Don't worry they find my jacket and get my money as i'm cursing to myself that they found it. I've been robbed 2x and sometimes they're not as thorough. They ask who's Range Rover is out front and the busted up guy says it's his. They ask if there's any $$ or drugs in the car and he says no. One of the guys goes outside and i guess looks in his car. They start duct taping our hands behind our back(amateur move). Soon after I hear tires screach off. I look up at the camera that points outside and i don't see anyone. I bust out of my duct tape cuffs and look for my keys which i had seen them put on the other card table. I run outside and jump in my truck grab my pistol underneath the seat and take off out of the parking lost. you can either turn right, which is towards a residential area or left which is towards the highway. I turned left not knowing what i was looking for or where i was going. I get about 2-3 miles down the road when i stop at the light and see that guys range rover a lane over. I say to myself i can't believe they stole his car. i follow them as they get on the highway. I see a cop on the shoulder and as i pass him i tap on break 5-6 times and he pulls up beside me. "Those motherfkers in the range rover just robbed me." He pulls up behind them and lights em up. They take off and the chase is on. I can barely keep up going 90 and they finally ditch the car about 15mi later. They end up catching the guys after about a 2hr search. One of the guys has the bag full of our money. I can't believe it. We stay at the scene for about 4 hrs total and i end up following the cops back to the game to give statements. They end up giving us all the money back. I couldn't believe it. We didn't get any tickets for playing poker because it's only illegal if you're taking a rake and we're not stupid and say they did. I end up getting all my $$ back plus what i was winning in the game and an extra 3k for getting our $$ back. What a crazy night.

It sounds too crazy too be true but it is. Could've cleaned up the 2 guys and been way ahead, that is until the cops found the guys and they both were wearing body armor vests. No B.S.

thats awful...friend of mine won 19k in a tournament at the hard rock in ft lauderdale...i guess the idots there are smart enough to pay u in straight cash so this 19 year old is driving an hour home with 19k and i guess some guys follwed him all the way on highway and once he got on residential roads cut him off and rolled out strapped loike rambo...they tried to ditck with cash but both were caught...the robbers were on the lose for about 8 months until cops got a few leads and got all money back....shady shit man, shady shit...glad yours worked out but i higly suggest next time not being so rambo-ish..money rocks and no one wants to be a pussy but soiunds like u werent messing with a bunch of bitches... life> money all day erryday

nope, closest one is 2 1/2 hrs away in louisiana. This game was 10min. from my house and the players sucked balls.

I never gamble with bill $$ I got wife(hate) and a kid(love) to pay for. Just take a few shots at the game every week. They got a security guard out front and put up another camera to see the whole parking lot now.

Awesome story, sorry you had to go through this shit. Let us know when you find out how they were connected to the game and how they found out about it. Sick.

just a couple spots in your story i thought seemed kind of made up. if not i'm sorry and def a good story. also seems like something that might make the evening news...just saying.

Unknown to us was there was a camera inside that was connected with the owners through the internet that saw midthough what was going on. They called the cops while it was happening. After i flagged that cop down there was 2-3 more that joined in the chase as it happened. I was way behind the chase I was just following the siren lights. Some people left after the cops showed up there and gave their statements. They didn't know where i was until I got back there with the other cops. And yes i was the only one that chased after them. Doesn't make me a bad ass just a pissed off mother fucker who was stupid enough to not lay down and get fucked. been robbed 2 other times before this and wasn't gonna let it happen again

I'd prolly be careful playing in that game now that the coppers know about it.
