Glad everything worked out, thanks for sharing the story.

certainly a crazy story, for those who call bullshit, i can't blame you. There was no news crew or nothing like that. The owner and a dealer there both have relatives in the city's police dept. so they never bothered us before nor will they come in and bust the place, they all new it was there before. I figured you guys would enjoy my misery for a little bit. Me and some people there have talked about who the setup guy was. We all think it was the guy that tried to hide his rolex. He's been linked to some other shady shit. Here's another story about him. We're at an underground game, different place, and they had a badbead jackpot that was hit the day before. Loser got a little over 10k. So we're playing the day after and while we're playing the guy who won the 10k had his money in his car parked right in front of the business where we were playing. We hear a car alarm go off and look at the camera and see a guy all up in this dude's car. The game runner takes off outside, the guy in the car starts running through the parking lot. Meanwhile some of the guys are right behind the game runner. He starts to run across the street when the 'get-away-car' tries to cut them off. Well i guess he didn't want to hit the guys so he ends up putting the car in the ditch next to the street. Guess who gets out. The rolex man. The other guy gets away and the dude comes up with a story about he owes these drug dealers $$ and if he didn't get them some $$ fast that they would kill him. Believable story cuz i know he's into the drug game. But i call bullshit. That's why we think it was him.

i call "bullshit"

yeah you're right. I got nothing better to do then make up a bullshit story before i put my son to sleep. Most online players don't understand the shady shit that poker can be. And bad people that always look for an edge. That's the chance you take. I can personally tell you 3-4 stories about card rooms being robbed in my town. It's a big city and there's alot of people just looking to make a quick score. That's real world shit.

This would also tie in with the hoods asking rolex guy if he "has any drugs or money" in the range rover.

That bit sounded weird to me. What robber asks that? Like the guy is gonna say "yes, I have 20k and an kilo in there, have at it!"
Screams of a pre-planned line to make it look like he wasn't involved.
This would also explain why they took dude's car. To further make it look like he wasn't in on it, and maybe because he was going to run an insurance scam too. Sounds like it was pretty thorough, even if a bit amateurish. -
cool story, just dont ever get into a gunfight with a pistol vs an assault rifle tho.

lol @ people thinking the OP "made this up" after going 35 lines without the use of a comma.

And you keep going to these games? Good Luck. And keep your life insurance paid up, your kid will need it.

nah, i believe him....i live in houston as well and ive been to a few different games that have gotten robbed. where was the game if you dont mind me askin?

You gotta love fiction ! i mean, let's be serious. if this happened to go down the way you " claim " then you sir are an animal. But what i dont get is, why somone would chase after robbers as u say, by youself with a pistol and no help?? you have a gun in your ride, yet u flag down a cop? ya thats real smart..... ok, and now u are following a police chase for 15 miles, then wait around for another 2 hrs while they search? Now are you with someone after this chase/search since u say " we stayed at the scene for 4 hrs? i guess you happened 2 multiply? thought u got in the ride alone?
