damn guys you need every detail to legitamize it. Pistol which i have a concealed license for, you gotta love texas, is not against the law. They ditched the car off the side of the road next to a hotel parking lot. They asked for me to stay in case they caught the guys. So i stayed there until we left to go back to the poker room after they caught 'em. We=me and cops you fkn idiot.

So they duct tape your hands behind your back, are you sure you didn't mean scotch tape because the way you described it is that you easily pulled your arms outward and broke the duct tape handcuffs? Seems kinda hard to do. Now you decide to play Superman, and go recover your money, instead of calling the cops? First of all they have at least a 5-10 min headstart on you probably more, by the time you all get over the shock and recover from what had just happend. Your chances at this point in finding them have to be <10% yet you decide to give it a go? So you decide to get a hand gun that you conveniently had in your car (why do you have a gun in your car, can't be legal) and chase 3 guyz that have assault riffles. Given your long shot of finding these guys what were you going to do if you found them? Your telling me you were going to drive up to them and shoot them all? So you go from losing 800$ to committing murder. Sound like a solid plan so far. You are clearly making half or all this story up or you are the worlds biggest idiot.

Yes duct tape which i said was amateur because they didn't do a good job and the past 2 times i've been robbed at a game they used zip ties which worked. I already knew that they were just going to take the money and run. They don't want to hurt anyone, just scare the sh*t out of you and take your $$. I already knew i was going after them as it was happening. and yes in texas you can have a gun in your car if you have a concealed handgun license. So when i heard the tires peel out it was clearly not a 5-10min headstart, more like 30sec. I've lived in the area all my life so i figured which way they were headed which was towards the highway. If yall don't believe me i really don't give a sh*t. I'm tired of explaining every fkn detail. Yes the stories true. I thought some of you guys would enjoy hearing what happened but all yall do is pick a part what i say. fk it. that's what happened

Crazy story, I believe it, I've seen some crazy shit in my day. Unreal you guys got your money back, guess you two outted the robbers this time. Be careful though rolex guy obv knows you took off after them. If he was in on it and relays the word to his scummy friends, they might want some payback for the jail time they will be serving

Okay, I'm not going to call BS on this just yet, but I'm in Houston, and I've made a few calls and no one I've talked to seems to have heard about this yet. That is weird, because Houston poker players are the biggest bunch of old-hen gossips this side of a church meeting. This wasn't "The M*ntrose Game", as I spoke to the operators; nor was it any of the games off "The Street That Turns Into Voss As It Runs North" that I know of. So how about a hint? And we KNOW it wasn't 213, they're still shut down from the robbery/killing.

I won't give the name of the place. But i know what you're talking about. This happened on the NE side of town.

Great Story!!!! the ONLY part that i find unbelievable is you guys were playing 1-2 R.O.E. (Razz, Omaha and Stud Eight), all limit games, with $800 average stacks, WTF? You can play that game more than comfortably with $50 in front of you; is this some crazy aggro no cap game?
Btw, are small limit cash mixed games popular in Houston? I would eat my own shit to find a live 7 or 8 game cashgame in the northeast. I damn near want to move to houston to play in this game, assault weapons and all. -
if this was in the houston area, it didnt happen, unless it was some unknown game on the outskirts cuz my buddy knows all gossip intanstly from the houston poker/booking world and he hasnt heard anything at all. nice story though, just doubt it's legitamacy if in houston area as someone mentioned earlier in thread

It's outside of Houston on the N.E side off 59 & 1960. And R.O.E means no limit and omaha.

Proof that terrible decisions are sometimes rewarded in poker IMO

Glad you're OK. I live in The Woodlands and play in three monthly games. I host a monthly $100 NLHE tourney with a rebuy and several times we've had $3K in the pot. Scares me to think that we could easily be ripped off. Great you got a reward on top of it all!! Be safe, man!
