  1. How safe am I playing poker at a hotel? I'm using a direct connection but I can and wouldn't mind using the wireless feature.
I use Zonealarm as my firewall.
Do I have to worry about having my PW hacked or can I just log into Pstars and enjoy myself?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Robert
  2. Can never be too safe imo better safe than sorry but you gotta be practical too so I would say use your descretion and try and do your best w/ the situation

    hope that helps

  3. u will be fine, play in hotels using there wireless router all the time.

  5. DONT play in a hotel...you'll run extrememly bad like i did last night. it's best to just call room service and order a bucket of beers
  6. Make a hat of tin foil. Put it on your head and face East. You'll be fine.
  7. I play better in a hotel than at home. Less distractions.
  8. Even if the wireless connection between you and the hotel isn't encrypted (usually not), the traffic between you and the poker site is...so unless someone feels like sniffing the network traffic and then breaking what's likely to be 128bit encryption in real time, you'll be fine.

    In short - it's fine.
  9. If you're super paranoid just change your PW before you go and change it back after you leave.
  10. Well since I live in the boonies and up until about a year ago I had dial up and obv that blows for playing poker. So I would drive about 5 miles away with a car charger for my laptop and sit in a hotel parking lot and pick up the wireless....sfbad. Never had a problem and did it for about 6 months about 2 or 3 nights a week.
