  1. I'm thinking of making the drive to Wheeling from Columbus this weekend and am wondering if anyone's played there recently. I'd like to stay somewhere cheaper than the casino and am thinking of the Wheeling Inn, but the reviews I've found of it online are very mixed. Anyone stayed there, or anywhere else close to the casino? Or should I just pay the extra $80-100 a night and stay at the casino?
  2. seriously, prob cost a little more, but you will have a 10x better experience

buy a roundtrip ticket to LV for the weekend, stay at the Gold Coast if costs are your main concern and play out there. seriusly, sit down add it up and u will fig out, prob wont cost but a cpl hundred more, and hell u get to go to LV
  3. If I had a long weekend I'd consider it, but I don't, and Wheeling is only a 2 hour drive. I was just in Vegas a couple months ago, too. Thanks though, I like the idea almost any other time.

  4. Columbus is only a 2 hour drive. Stay at the Super 8 or something.
  5. Im at work and I have access to 9 different hotel brands. I will check rates and availability for ya.

Super 8 Wheeling, WV $69 per night
Days Inn St Clairsville, OH $55 per night
Super 8 St Clairsville, OH $55 per night

Only 3 I have listed within 25 miles.

The Days Inn has a 5 sunburst rating which is as good as it gets for Days Inn
  6. Thanks man, that's very generous, but I'm wondering more about the quality. The Wheeling Inn has availability and is $69/night for Friday and Saturday, but the online reviews of the place range from "This place is awesome, super clean, nice people" to "This is the dirtiest place I've ever stayed, horrible staff, etc." I'm basically wondering if it's a decent place, or whether the surrounding chain places are decent.

  7. I have also looked up all the complaints recieved by these hotels in our system and they are few and very minor. All three seem very nice. I can book a res for you but I leave in 25 minutes.
  8. Thanks man, but I'll take care of booking. You don't have anything on The Wheeling Inn? It's not a chain, so that might be why. It's the closest hotel to the casino, less than a mile away from it.

EDIT: And thanks again for your help, very generous of you to do all this.

  9. No problem. I work for Wyndham Hotel Group and we run 9 hotel brands. Wheeling Inn is not one of them.
