i db 'ed both blinds and they were both newbs. I dont know what their ranges are.

  2. Hate this move. Sorry. The only time I like this type of move is if you have both blinds covered and it's near the bubble. You had three more free hands coming before your next BB to look for a better spot to make this kind of move. You have 17 BB's left so it's nearing the fight or flight moment, but I think you jumped the gun. Forget about someone waking up with a monster like AA, what if the BB (short stack) looks down at A8 or better? You're getting called and you're dominated. The fact that the SB is the one who woke up with the monster is just bad luck because he's folding anything other than the nuts to your all-in. Bad move, bad timing. Sorry.
  3. The problem with shoving more than 10bbs is pretty obvious...Your opponents don't have pot odds to call you with weak hands. That means they will only call with good hands. Good hands all crush A6. So you win the blinds 85% of the time, and you get your stack all in as a 3:1 or 4:1 underdog 15% of the time...Big risk small reward.

From a pure chip EV stand point, meaning you aren't considering how far you are from being ITM, etc this play is very marginally +EV unless the blinds are really really loose (even if they will both call as loose as 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs its break even and most people aren't that bad). But it's still not optimal. I'd say raising to 13000-14000 and folding to a reraise is the best way to play this one.
  4. ^^^^^^^^^^^^

    what he said
  5. good input. I think open folding is bettr than raise 2.5x and fold. if I had more than 20bbs I think it makes sense.
