how bad is this shove?

    Ok, there are 23 players left in the Stars Daily $30k. I just moved to the table and have no history with any players at the table. How awful is this shove considering I have less than 20 big blinds? Am I just being results oriented or was it definitely bad?

    Awkward stack size. He pretty much has to raise/fold to a shove because 44 is a brutal calling hand and any competent player in the blinds will be shoving fairly wide in that spot. An open shove very much narrows the ranges of both blinds. Yeah, when you get called you'll be dominated or racing at best but prob. 80% of the time you're taking down blinds/antes which at this point are significant.
