How do I build a small roll?

    Haven't played in awhile. Loaded up $100 on FTP to mess around a little. What should I play to quickly build something from this small br?

    If it was me I would play fi cent tin cent NLHE cash game, rack up FPPs for satellites and play some freerolls.

    If quick is your objective I would play $2 FL or razz HU sngs. It really is amazing how bad the low stakes heads up limit and razz players are.

    Well I didn't necessarily mean quick as in like tonight. I just don't want to play for like a month and still be around $100.

    play frankthetank heads up. if that doesnt tickle your fancy, play cheap bounty tournaments or something

    So far in my opinion you have gotten all bad advice from some people. Some are telling you to play was too high, leaving you little chance to succeed through variance. You might get lucky early on, but I personally think that if you want to build slowly but surely that you should not be playing some of the games mentioned by others players, such as 25c/50c just yet.

    Start out at $2 SNG's and build from there. If you want to play cash, play something like 5c/10 or 10c/25c(if this exists, not sure).

    "Willywoo" gave some good advice imo

    lol @ frankthetank...I don't know him, but he seems kinda toolbag-ish. Not a huge fan of h/u though. How are the multi-table sng's?

    i dunno, soft i guess. i dont play on ftp much, but they have 2 or 3 dollar knockout tournies where a portion of your buy in gets put in a seperate pool and you get paid for each person you knock out, plus the money you get for actually cashing in the tournament. im pretty sure theyre hella easy since guys will be trying to hard to get bounties and you can just sit back and get paid off huge with big hands

    There are no shortcuts, unless you are okay with your risk of ruin being too high.

    Use this article as a guideline:

    Basic Bankroll Management

    Then find the game that meets these guidelines that earns you the highest hourly rate.

    yep move your money to pokerstars and do the 3 and 6 dollar 45 man turbos they r very juicy they take an hour to take down and the winner gets 42 and 84 respectively great expectation long term in these things and since they are not time consuming they can fit into your schedule whenever you feel like playing 8 or 10 of em you can get them all in in a very short period of time because they fill up every 45 seconds to a minute so they r absolutely perfect also i would recommend using your FPPs on Pokerstars for the 70 FPP Sunday Hundred Grand 1 table satillite and just keep unregistering for it and taking the 11 in Tournament Cash for the 3&6 turbos i did that and turned 0 dollars about about 300 FPPs on stars into 32k in 2 months to begin this year so if I can do that u can certainly make 1k+ from nothing given you have stars FPPs to work w/ and are willing to work hard

    but if u dont like stars for w/e reason the 2.2 180 entrants tornies are very +EV winner gets 97 bucks I think i would recommend those and the $11 45mans if you win a few of the 180 mans

    HU FL and FL Razz is a good a good way to go especially if you haven't played much lately because you can focus on only one opponent to pick up tendancies and reads.

    tbh i really like the 45 man sng's..they play out fairly quickly and it's not too hard to make the top 7

    the one table sng's to hundred grand someone mentioned are under Sit and Go/Satellite/FPP then sort by buy-in

    i like this way as well. then take fpp's and play satty's to different things if u want to take a shot or just get the T$.

    Play cash. 10+ tables, NL5. When u get up to $200 switch to NL10. $500 = NL25 Play 4h per day and you can get up to 8K in 6 months. Gl

    Btw, it's $44 per day so I don't see why you won't be able to do that and to get that $8K. You need 20 buy ins for each level! Don't play under that!

    U said "big roll quickly" :P Play 16 tables, 8h per day and u'll climb up to $2K+ (in 30 days) if u're better than avg. I can't help u with any kind of SnGs/MTTs 'cuz I suck there :P

    I just got 10.00 on Ultimate Bet, Not sure why some kind of re-up bonus.
    Never was much on money management. What I played to start was six max .01/.02nl just to get a feel quickly I was up 4 bucs. I really wanted to play sngs but the never fill up. So I started playing .05/.10nl and it was easy seemed like no one ever thought I had top pair and would call down with second pair. I quickly got to 25 day one.

    Day two I played .25/.50nl with 15.00 wow I was up to 70.00 in about 2 hours.
    now I donked some off in a bounty tourny and a 10.00 sng. Never play tired.
    Went back to cash table with 35.00 and late saturday night I got between to drunks on a six max .25/.50 I took several big pots off of them for about 150.

    Six max and be agressive with good hands stay i the .25/.50 bracketand you will build.

    Now I am sitting on 175.00 not sure what to do now may just take it off and put it on stars.
