How should I've played this hand?

    thanks
  2. OK, i can get on board calling from the SB preflop.

On the flop i hate your checkraise. Either lead bet or check fold.
  3. I'm probably just 3 bet/calling pre. I'm never flatting pre with your stack and folding top pair, even on this board. And not sure what above poster was talking about, check/raising is best here. You're getting a free bet when villain misses and cont. bets anyways and and you're also putting villain in a position where you're playing a bigger pot and allowing villain to make mistakes calling with draws, smaller queens, and 99/tt/jj hands. I guess you could just call the flop with the intention of bet/calling any brick turn but check/shoving is probably better.

  4. 3 bing/call shove pre seems a bit marginal vs a good player it was on a 2x open, and you have 22bbs left, I don't mind the flat if he is decent, unlucky flop. Might want to lead out if he doesn't c/b often though, giving free cards here isn't smart and you might miss value on any Q's you have outkicked if it comes a scare card on the turn. However, if he puts out a dead-money c/b 90% of the time, the c/r is a good line.
  5. First off, I would rather raise this preflop. I hate putting your money in and then quickly folding a good hand when you miss. What do you do on a 8-4-2 rainbow board, check fold? So, I would rather raise it preflop. Then, if he pushes, you might get away from it (if he's been aggressive, then you might be getting it in there.

Once the Queen hits, not sure what to do, I like the check/raise myself. Unlucky he has KK here.

Though, what sucks here is that, if you hit the queen, you pay him off, if you hit the ace, he's not paying you off (unless he hits too). It's why I like reraising pre, it gives you a chance to get a feeling for where your at (though, in these $3 games, AQ versus a big stack KK is really a cooler, hard to get away from it, when so many people will play A7 the same way).
  6. River, a C/R on this board is akin to suicide.

I suppose if the guy is a robot and has no idea of what flop is safe to C/B then you could argue the point, but if he puts chips into the pot here we're just pot commiting ourselves without a spade in our hand.

We don't want to play a big pot with only a single pair and no flush draw here.

Clearly the lead bet is better than the C/R. If we infact are ahead we prevent a free card and also extract value.

Are you bet/folding or bet/calling the flop? And lol at giving a random in a $3 tourney credit for being a good player. And we're not playing a "big pot" as we only have like 27 bbs. In ~10 minutes we're going to have 20bbs with antes. I don't think bet/calling is bad here, but bet/folding is retarded. I'd even dig chk/calling the flop with the intention of bet/calling a blank on the turn
