  1. Had my best finish ever (2nd in a $5 MTT on UB 820 entries) last night. Thanks for the great articles and posts which have really helped me improve my game. I played conservative early and built up a average size stack. As Adam and others have regularly pointed out I tried to play aggressive as the money spots approached taking avantage of the players just trying to reach the payoff spots, but unfortunately ran into A A held by a smaller stack while holding the A K. When no help came I found myself the bubble boy with 71 players left and top 70 being paid.

To make a long story short, with some well placed bets, semi bluffs, and reraises I worked my way back to a 2nd place finish and I just wanted to know how you top players do this on a regular basis?

I felt the cards were really going my way in the end but I can't imagine having 2 or more top finishes a week as many of the ranked players do...
  2. Patience is the key. But its also important to keep your emotions out of the game.
