Please help..would love to hear from Annette.. Bax..Sheets.. Rizen.. on this one as well... Here's the deal.. I am a member of PXF.. RPT..PSO.. I watch the vids daily.. take the quizzes.. have hired 3 dif coaches.. but cannot elevate my game to a higher level.. and cannot seem to break (what Im wondering) is actually a bad run.. so.. back to the question.. how do u know if you are on a bad run.. of you just plain suck??
-
are you an mtt'er, a cash game player or both? how many tourneys or hands have you played?
-
If you suck it will leave a mark commonly known as a hickey.
-
light a bag of shit on fire and you will find the answer in the cloud of smoke
-
Well, what have your coaches been saying? I'm assuming you hired someone good here.
Another question, assuming your a MTT'er (the most likely to have a long bad run that is actually a bad run), are you constantly short stacked? This could be hurting you. -
I've gone to three different swing coaches, bought the best golf clubs, read all books, watched the videos and guess what - I still can't break 85 on a regular basis.
But, I've got a 3 year old bowling ball with nicks in it, bowling shoes that are about 5 years old, I only bowl once a week, don't practice, and I average 205.
There are some things that people have a natural skill at, and regardless of how much you practice, buy and work at it - you can never become great at it (but you can be good).
That said - I would much rather spend an afternoon on the golf course rather than bowling because I enjoy golfing more than bowling. So - if you can enjoy playing poker, and it's not costing you money, family or sanity, then continue to play and look for opportunities to improve. -
I knew that info would be pertinent..sigh.. lol. I prefer playing mtts but continue to grind the stts to keep the BR flowing and I also need to mention that I am very good at BR mgmt.. In this run.. I have dropped down in stakes to adjust which also means I am dodging a lot more mine fields of bad calls and suckouts.. At this point I am playin 5 rebuys.. 10 Fos and 20 FOs .stts at 10 and 20 level. Im a very tight (possibly too tight) aggressive player.. stats usually average somewhere around 16 to 20% of flops seen but win rate is only about 43%. thanks for feedback guys..
