Hey guys,
I've been playing a lot more recently (internet is finally fixed in my apartment complex) and talking to some friends that are highly successful, one of which used to 12 table 6max 5/10nl on party until they closed their doors. They help me out a lot, pointing out small/big leaks, general strategy and whatnot.
What I find happening is I'll send them a hh or two, we'll talk strategy for a while and I'll come away with some great insight on how to play certain situations, players, etc. The question I have for you guys is how do you consciously implement this in your play?
I feel like I learn a lot from hands and discussion, but when I get caught up in the heat of the moment, I just can't draw the same conclusions in the time I'm given on each street/per hand. Do you guys have any suggestions on how you make sure what you've learned, you actually implement?
thanks

real response?

It really comes down to experiencing hands, I doubt your friends knew how to deal with every situation when they started. Just try to get into good habits and play a solid game, you'll get a feel for how to respond to certain players/situations with speed in due time.
