  1. My last few tourneys I have played (not a big volume player) I have gone semi deep but nearing the bubble I just seem to get no gd spots at all and when I do im holding a poor hand.

Any tips or links to overcome this?

    Do I just become a maniac and 3 & 4 bet atc?
  2. Depends on the stacks around you imo. If I have shorties on my left that seem to want to limp into the cash then I raise/shove if folded to me quite a lot cause I don't ever care about min cashing so I take this as a big chance to pick up the blinds/antes and build that stack

Pretty much sums up most of the MTT's I play. Prolly why I effin hate playing mtts anymore.
  4. Pay attention to the table and find the players that actually can find the fold button. Your cards arent nearly as important as you may think. You are actually trying to get folds when you 3 bet light in which case your cards will never be seen. Use your stack against the weak tight players before you lose all fold equity. Start opening up your game earlier than right before the bubble. You cant wait until your stack is so small it doesnt hurt their stack for them to call light when you 3 bet/shove.
  5. at a certain point its better to be shoving light than to fold ur way to no FE, u have to play the position sometimes and not the hand. look to exploit some spots with alot of FE even with weak hands and this should keep ur stack healthy enough till u get some decent cards

  6. I hear you bro...I don't put any volume in and when I get deep I tend to nit up and wait for something good then allways run into a monster.

Now that you've read the responses saying shove light....remember that that is what a lot of players are doing to you so snap them off light also. Any pair, mid ace, two broadway are often good. Sure you'll lose your share but snap one off and you'll get shoved on a lot less. I try to remember this when I'm forced to make a move....just because someone shoves doesn't mean they have AA everytime. You'd be shocked how many times you look someone up with KQ and they flip over K7 (suited of course). Doesn't make it feel any better when they spike the 7, but you made the right play.
  7. How does one overcome being card dead on the bubble?

    Luck...
  8. start shoving wider w/ less than 16bb stack
