  2. limp along... blinds are so small there is no point in raising...YOU MUST HIT in order to take one down in a 3.40...
  3. imo i think your raise to 300 is good, its telling the table hey i have something plus you dont really risk too much, you can always toss it if someone pulls the old limp re raise on you, The object of your raise is to obviously drive out the garbage but also to gauge how strong your hand is.
  4. but also in the same breath aomeone may think this is just a take down the pot move so as i re think it i may also limp in and try to flop the set and toss it if i miss , there are too many ways for you to lose, and its better to lose 30 than 300
  5. Pocket 10's are tricky, especially with several limpers ahead of you. However, at the 3.40 level, probably alot of the limpers are limping with weak or drawing hands and will be driven out by your bet. I like the bet.

I can understand calling in hopes of making a set on the flop and saving yourself the chips, if it's a low pocket pair say (<88). But with pocket 10's, and all limpers ahead of you, there's a good chance that you've got the best preflop hand. The bet you made does 2 things: 1) isolates the competition to just those with good preflop holdings, 2) sends the message that you've got a real hand (unless you've been raising big with a bunch of limpers consistently beforehand) and gives you the possibility of scooping up the pot preflop uncontested (remember, sometimes: "it's better to win a small pot than to lose a big one").

The only part of this hand I would question is your check on the Turn. I would think that at the Turn, if you check and are willing to call an all-in for the rest of your chips on the River that you'd want to push all-in on the Turn. Maybe that bet drives him away from his hopes of catching his flush. Maybe not, but at least you're the aggressor and he's got to react to it. Plus, when you check, you're letting him see the River for free.
  6. i would just go all in because people are more than happy to call of any % of their stack to peel a flop with a moderate hand. Your hand is best atm you can go AI and probably take it down there or maybe get called by a worse hand.
  7. I dont see how you can say that 300 chips isnt risking very much.  It's 10 bbs and a good part of his stack.  Not to mention the continuation bet hes almost certainly gonna have to make while out of position.  IMO, blinds are way too low to make the raise to 300 necessary or profitable.   I would limp along and hope to hit a big flop and get paid off. If a bunch of overs come and you gotta fold, its not a huge deal-you have plenty of chips in relation to the BB and TT isnt that great.  IMO, pushing preflop or raising like 900 p reflop (committing yourself to the pot) is much mu ch
better than throwing in 1/5 your stack out of position with TT and hoping for a safe flop.

  8. " Pocket 10's are tricky, especially with several limpers ahead of you. However, at the 3.40 level, probably alot of the limpers are limping with weak or drawing hands and will be driven out by your bet. I like the bet."

The point is that this seemingly huge raise will not get people off the pot at these levels. Look at the donk who was in the hand with 94 s00ted. There is no need to make this huge commiting raise right here because you WILL get called by a few of the limpers. Thats why I would 10% of the time limp and just hope for a good flop or 90% of the time go all-in. You will take it down uncontested most of the time and sometimes get called by some donk who is dominated.
  9. Limp along and hope to flop a set or tread carefully on a 7 high board. If blinds were 25/50 say I might just push.

A raise to $300 is horrible in this spot IMO

  10. Haven't looked at the results.

But there are two options, limp along as stated above.

The other option is to raise, but I think a raise to 150 would be sufficient. The first couple limpers aren't going to be getting great odds to call, and the people that fold with hands they limp with to a big raise will fold, and people that won't fold, might not fold to a 500 chip raise. Also as mentioned above with a smaller pot your C-bet from out of position (assuming a safe enough flop) will be smaller.
