my image was solid at this table, hadn't played many hands and onlyshowed down KK. I think i should have bet the flop to defind the otherplayers' hands earlier, but i was trying to keep the pot from gettingout of hand. If you check the flop, do you check the turn too? Did mybet size give away my hand's weakness?
On the river i figured he'd just check down any hand i was ahead of soi let him have it with his K or Ah or weak flush. What other lines would you take?
  2. nobody noticed this the first time so i'll give it one bump

  3. I'm pretty ABC, so if I led preflop I lead after, I'd have bet the flop. As played, why not check raise the turn with second pair, str8 and flush draws? You'd know where you stood for sure after that.
  4. I kind of want to call his river bet. You gave him a free pass to bluff so you have to expect him to fire out here.

The way he played it though, he could have A10h and decided to slowplay it to death.
  5. I'd pay him off. If I was him, I'd bluff on the river since you checked. Your river check would tell me you don't have a flush because you'd have to bet it to get SOME value out of the hand after slowplaying to death, and you'd have a hard time calling with anything less than AT or a set. And since a bluff is so likely after your check there, I'd have to pay the man his money.
  6. so which is better, betting or check-calling the river? If you bet, how much?

  7. Are we all in complete agreement that you should've bet the flop?
  8. lol @ betting the river
  9. Honestly, I'd check call. Your hand has showdown value, especially with how weakly villain played the hand, so you want to put as little in the pot as possible. If you bet and get raised, you're in an even bigger predicament for more chips, so I'd check/call and see what villain had and then write good/bad note accordingly, lol.
