  1. No real strong reads on the villain. He did play one hand which he won, where he way overplayed his top pair on a pretty dangerous board in a multiway pot, which leads me to believe he's a little reckless. And if it counts for anything (which I think it does in this situation), he's from some Norwegian or Swedish city...

Also, any comments on how I played the other streets are greatly appreciated as well...

  2. pretty sick the way this has played out imo...

    1. I might bet less on turn. the whole board is very drawey (word?) i guess i might have tried to keep the pot small as possible to get to a showdown?? Am I way off base with this thinking??

    2. River is ugly and everything u didnt want to see. cant check the river now or he insta shoves.

Thats why i like the idea of keeping the pot small as possible...

  3. "draw-heavy" (word you were looking for)
  4. 1. I might bet less on turn. the whole board is very drawey (word?) i guess i might have tried to keep the pot small as possible to get to a showdown?? Am I way off base with this thinking??

That seems backwards to me. I would want to bet more BECAUSE the board is so drawy. If I try to get to showdown cheaply, then I risk letting him hit his flush, or his straight if that is indeed what he is on... I don't think I can put him on QJ, unless it's the QJ of clubs (highly unlikely)... Seems to me betting big is the best option, the pots already decent sized, I def don't mind taking it down here...

    2. River is ugly and everything u didnt want to see. cant check the river now or he insta shoves.

Again, to me this seems backwards. If I bet, he's almost always folding hands that I beat, and only putting more money in with hands that beat me. That's why I cant just shove. And putting out a blocking bet also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, because it opens up the slight possiblitly of him shoving on me as a bluff...

Does this logic seem correct here?

  5. Shove and hope he calls w/ 2 pair/lower set or hero call w/ J9. Theres 7200 out there and u only have 3600 left, ur not getting away from it if ur beat, so gotta go for value. Dont have enough chips for blocker bet and if u check he can be shoving repping the flush or have worse set/2 pair, etc.

  6. block bet maybe? but his range seems alot like a flush draw. Mostly in this situation i block bet.
  7. raise to like 700-800 pre, unless you like to see flops with TT with 2 limpers
    bet like 1200 flop
    3200 on turn
basicalyl price yourself in, and if hes calling you down, then cooler
  8. OK, so we're agreeing that we're not getting away from it here... Is there more value in shoving here? I figure if the guy is on a flush draw, and fairly aggressive he's going to reraise me either on the flop or turn(he'll either have a combo draw with low suited connectors, or 2 overs and a flush draw unless he has Axs, both monsters) so in my mind I'm thinking either a lower set or possibly some kind of straight draw... And if that's the case, isn't there more value in checking and letting him rep the flush, than pushing when I'm almost positive he doesn't have it?

  9. Lead out about 1500, when he raises all in with q 9 of clubs. lean over vomit into a trash can and then call
  10. I do agree that I should have made it more preflop, that was probably a mistake...

  11. i dont think your ever folding with soo much in there than again he has a flush draw here soo often maybe a str8 sick spot
  12. 1. you are absolutely correct in your thinking imo.

    2. yeah, its ugly, but only completes a flush, odds are you are still ahead, and this dude has AT or some shit. I dont think he would chase the flush to the riv with you betting OOP every street.
  13. overshove, get looked up by a fish with one pair who puts u on AK then yell ship it

  14. Its impossible to overshove when your stack is about half the pot

  15. sorry asshole i didnt read it that clear, shove all in for half pot and get called by a fish with one pair.

  16. I just think hes gonna check back hands like JT, QT, J9, Q9, 79 most of the time and 89, T9, T8 a decent amount of time. He prolly calls all 2 pair hands and top pair or 2nd pair hands a decent amount too since hed be getting 3-1 and he could easily feel committed. Although its less likely he has a ten since hed need the case ten, i still like a shove a little better than check-call but either one is fine.

  17. Wasn't trying to be an asshole, I was just stating a fact.
