wow, why do people like this even play poker? If he's not raising this flop then it should be safe to assume he's a mental retard.

I am really confused at his play flop and the turn but river would be hard to bet against a def possibilty A9 Ace diamonds.....especially if he puts a bet out there can you call????
but smooth call 2nd set twice is fucking yikes...I think I have raised aset everytime i flopped one on all suited board to at least get info i am smooth calling a set on that flop to allow 4th diamond to hit turn crying calls thinking you flopped the nuts LOLLOLOLO -
I've been playing him all day. I noticed he was very passive, and perhaps afraid. It looks like he was trying to slow play, and going for a check raise on the river, but the diamond fell. Too bad for you because if that board doesn't pair or no diamond, you would have stacked that walrus.
edit: I didn't notice the flop was suited...AY..I don't feel like reevaluating. -
And what kind of player in a cash game calls a 3xBB raise with 67s pre flop? I can see raising with it first in, but not calling with it. I guess yours is pure genius. Lucky for you the board didn't pair. Lucky for you the draw you were overbetting hit.
-
There's some more of that true class I've come to expect from here...
-
Yeah, I see he is up to $600 now, and you're down to less than $400. You're right, you're the genius.
-
Inappropriate? No
Unwated? Proabaly
He has a valid point. You should be able to see things from a different point of view. If not, you are just blocking yourself from learning anything. -
You're publicly criticizing a player in an open forum about his play, while at the same time showing us what kind of player you are in overbetting a draw into a suited flop. I see flaws in both of you on this hand.
Can you not see that he was perhaps hesitant to move aggressively in the hand given the suited flop, the one you don't seem to address in your original message? He was calling just hoping for that board to pair. Like you, he was gambling. -
How is he overbetting with $20? I think betting with two others in the hand is very bad, since any big diamond will call you and you won't really know where you are at. You have 6 outs and you might be drawing dead. Calling or 3betting with 67s is ok but probably not oop.
-
Honestly, gambler, your post is inappropriate. You're publicly bashing a guy for how he played a hand? How is that cool? I really don't think his play is that bad, either. Is it as aggressive as the currently accepted style of play? No, but who's to say this guy isn't a winning player or even... gasp... better than you? Just because a guy plays hands differently than you doesn't mean he sucks. Honestly, I'm not a fan of your line in this hand. You are leading into the raiser with a str8 draw on a suited flop? About 50 different preflop raising hands raise you right off your draw.. if you wanna liberally call your probable 6 outer that. You got lucky to win this pot and lucky that you didn't lose more if the board paired on the end.
If you wanna post a hand to bash a guy, at least have the class to omit his name. I'm sure you make mistakes and I'm even surer that some of what you think are not mistakes are. Also, give us something better than this... like this is the worst play in the history of poker... lol I and plenty of others can make a case for his line and less of a case for yours in this particular hand. Yes, I'm saying you played the hand worse than him. -
is the reason u post this is because u want to feel good about your play here and want people to agree with you?? you played this hand poorly. worse than the villian, (or is it hero??). calling a 3x bet in an already opened pot w/ mid sooted connectors , i learned not to do that at the play money tables back on party.....lol
-
if u dont call a 3xBB raise with suited connectors sometimes ur playing way to tight. i can see an argument about calling OOP, but i dont really believe ur a winning player if u dont make these calls from time to time.
i dont really know about leading out on the flop with just the straight draw considering the all suited flop, but once the turn hits giving gambler the straight he played it correctly.
the only thing really wrong with this played hand is leading out on the flop with the straight draw, but that might not even be that bad of a play considering if they didnt have a high diamond or the set he'll be given the pot uncontested.
gambler is more of a laggy player and these are the type of plays where SOME people view him as an idiot. THIS IS WHAT GETS HIM PAID OF WHEN HE DOES MAKE HIS HAND.
gl to u gambler. -
exactly right! he was waiting for the kill shot that never came. he also knew what kind of player he was up against...extremely lose and bad.

Seriously, why do people like gambler even play poker?
p.s. Is he so bad he got value-shoved with A4? lolololol -
Wow, you mean Gambler USED to play $1000 NL, and now he's down to $400 NL? No, no, no, that can't be right! He's a poker genius!
-
This is Gambler's usual exit point. The part where facts start getting in his way.

From the profile of genius:
"On December 13th, I officially became a member of www.cardrunners.com. I watched a ton of vids at the beginning. I decided to test out UB and put $200 dollars on there. Within about 1.5 weeks, I had this $200 bucks turned into $3000."
Hear that kids? If you want to learn how to ship it with air...er...call a shove with air...that's cardrunners dot com. -
It's actually the responses in posts like this that often make me proud to be part of this community.
I've never understood the logic of posting hands when you think the other player just sucks. If you think their might be logic behind the play that you don't see, that is one thing (even if it turns out that he was a donk). But, to just post, hey, quit poker idiot, why do this? We are playing a zero-sum game, I want players who make bad plays, even if it costs me money.
But, this is worse. Passive, maybe. But, at the very least, I think the donkey on the OP's post can at least explain logically his play. If it's right or wrong is debateable, but it really isn't a horrible play of epic proportions.
It's even better that gambler lived up to his name here, and then wants to post of others bad play. I don't mind people gambling, and even being happy when it works, but don't rag others play.
