learning razz in the next 2 hours and coming out with the ftops title?
-
funny it took me all of 30 seconds to learn the game.

razz aint that easy bro, its hard to find good razz players, that know how to slowplay a good hand, and get value from hands.
-
i dont evne know what tournament you speak of, but when the blinds get high, and you start hammering with an 8 low youll get eaten alive by good players.
-
ftops, wish i had a buyin. oh well oh well.
-
oh i disagree 100000% and i think anyone who has played razz extensively will tell you it's very easy to learn how to play damn near perfect razz in a short amount of time.
sure there are idiots, but they aren't good at any form of poker. in contrast, NLHE and PLO and other big bet games take a lot longer to learn how to play well. even LHE is much harder and the learning curve is very steep compared to razz, which is about as straight forward a form of poker you can find nowadays. -
razz is the easiest fucking game, and y the fuck would u want to slowplay in a limit game?
-
lol at that
-
sketchy, you may think you learned it in 30 seconds and that's is the simplest easiest form of poker, but believe me, don't let the limited experience you have with razz fool you into thinking it's a card catching game. It can become real complex when you start playing with tight players, loose, crazy aggro players, and learning how to deal with each. You also have metagame between players who have exp with each other. Sit in a 5/10 game, and go sit in 30 60, the play is a LOT differnet.

LOL @ slowplay. The only thing even remotely close to a slowplay I'd pull in razz would be on 6th, if I have a guy boardlocked, I might give him a free card in hopes that he makes something that he'll pay off a river bet with. -
Bax did that with 7 card stud. He tried to repeat the trick with razz in 2005 and took 4th (playing pretty badly the whole way I might add). But he's Bax. There may be 10 other players with that kind of poker ability on this forum, none if which I have seen posting in this thread.
-
Please notify Bax of this, since he was in the FTOPS event last night and still plays horribly. GG to him for knocking me out tho.

Hi Queso

This guy Camz thinks he is some razz super expert. I agree with Sketchy. Anyone who has played any Stud8 can learn razz in 5 minutes.
and LOL LOL at the slow play comment

I'm pretty sure sketchy knows that the cards you catch are only a part of poker.
-
yes, my bad. The razz event was '06, and I think the stud bracelet he won was in '05.
-
lol fisheye was at his table for the first few hours and we were talking about how bad he was playing and somehow wound up with 8k chips
-
I play mostly Stud Hi, and a big part of that game is dead cards on 3rd. I know the good players can also remember dead cards easily, but Im wondering if a lot are playing hands that look playable, but actually have no good chance to improving. Just a thought.
-
You know, everybody's been talking about Tiltaments lately, anybody notice he took 3rd?
-
True, I was in a hand last night with A356x against a guy with what seemed like a made 7, i called 5th street but on 6th I reemmbered that a 2247 was out on 3rd so I had to fold.
