How many sites cheat??

    Was doing some reading.. found the Absolute story...

    Is this a fluke or widespread?

    Have always been reluctanct online to play at 1/10th of the stakes I play for live.

    Some of the decisions you see are either really lucky or horrible or both.

    I would like to play more, but personally have never been all to comfortable.

    Maybe regulation and auditing at a higher rake is the answer.

    stars runs a "stack the newbie" program at least once a month
    FTP uses a pinochle deck
    Absolute has superuser accounts
    party's dealers hide cards up their sleeves
    Bodog Gives the high rollers 3 hole cards
    UB gives you the nuts then crashes on purpose
    Mansion takes a rake for just observing a table
    Sky poker gives out free tin foil hats

    Incase you missed all the sarcasm...

    Absolute screwed up, don't play there. Any large reputable site is fine, stars, FTP, UB, Bodog etc.

    Imagine how many people are very good at cheating and/or do not get greedy and stupid. There is no way of course to know for sure what kind of numbers there are of people that cheat in some way but it has to be huge I would think.

    How many times is someone on the phone or aim with a buddy or two getting group advice?
    My guess is every hour of every day on every site.

    How often is an account bought/taken over from an individual when deep in a mtt?
    Less but still very prevelent.

    How common is it for a "team" to rotate through cash tables to juice pots/team-up/squeeze a player? It would seem this is rampent!

    I love poker, online or live, especially live. I do not like to think about how common these occurances are but doesn't it seem foolish to think cheating in one form or another is not happening all the time online!??

    Thoughts? Am I crazy?

    This is a case for the X-files investigators to take over. After we complete our investigation, we'll publish a video report and sell the rites to have it played on the Sci-fy TV channel. We'll go public and call a congressional hearing to take sworn testimony. That way no one will lie about their participation.

    Congresspersons and Senators are all the most honorable and upstanding members of our government. Their pay is so low, they have to accept free transportation and vacations and lobyist stipends to stay off the welfare lines.
