I have started to play 6max cash tables on FTP and at the moment am playing 6 comfortably. I haven't tried to play more as yet but I think 8 would be the optimum amount. Normally I play pokerstars and the software there is much better allowing for a lot more tables.
I'm curious how many tables other people play and at which point they feel their edge reduces significantly. -
depends if i play on my laptop i feel at a disadvantage if doing more than 6. if i play on my dual monitors desktop i can do 12 very effectively.
-
I play around 10 90 man sngs at the same time.

I would almost think it's easier to play more on ftp, because the animations take longer, and you can actually see what kind of timebank you have at all times.

I max out at 6 tables atm, but that's primarily due to the size of my laptop screen. I plan on getting a monitor hook-up sometime soon so I should be able to play more at once then.
I find it incredible that some people still can only play one table at once. "Reads" are overrated. Poker is boring enough, I couldn't imagine only seeing one hand every minute or so. To each their own though. -
Not true

Layout... tile tables ftw... does the work for you

I play 6 like a Robot.
12 for fun. It gets nuts at 12 and I usually don't do well, but love it.
I found that it's best to re-size the tables so that you can click an edge of a table to make it appear in-case you miss your turn and you are sitting out, but, I think it's best to let the table pop up when it's your turn.
If I remember correctly, on FT, you have to get permission to play 12 tables. It was awhile ago that I made the request so I'm not sure of which site, but I think it was FT. -
Also, that player Kahn (last name - forgot first), he played like 30 or 34 tables and was a winning player, and was shut down by stars for being a bot, but he had video of himself playing that many tables so they re-opened his account and signed him. lol

lol i already do that. my laptop screen is like 15in so anything more than 6 tables is too tiny and I'm not trying to squint for several hours when i grind.
