  1. just lost a few bucks playing plo, i know i am a bit fishy but i'm an aggro fish.i am 3betting (sometimes allin)pf with hands like a362 ds 5689 ds 9986ds 910jq.should i just be flatting here?i am playing 1020 2550.
  2. is it omaha hi or omaha hi/lo?

  3. In PLO A326 is junk and should be folded. Maybe a very cheap call from the blinds if the A is suited otherwise it is an instafold hand. The others are playable. 9TJQ is a very strong hand multi way but not so much all-in preflop heads up. Those aren't hands to be getting in all-in preflop.

  4. omaha should be played to see more flops, personally I don't believe you should be 3 betting a lot in plo a lot mainly because most hands that raise open are going to have good equity against your hand anyway like a bad pair of aces like AA28 no suit is basically a flip against a double suited run down. Personally I'm looking for hands that I can hit combo draws with don't get get married to your mid range double suited hands when you hit a flush it isn't NL and if your raised on there river an you have a 10 high flush its barely ever going to be good. Just look to see flops with hands that have a lot of value hands like JJ84 one suit is trash your flush is rarely going to be good and even if you flop a set of jacks its going to be hard to play certain board textures. So yer 3 betting is rarely ever a good thing in plo unless stacks are super steep most hands are gonna have to much equity and your basically just gonna be flipping coins..try pot controlling and playing hands that all work together which are gonna flop many combo draws and always leave you with re draws...anyway gl its a great game and i love it :)

hope that helps and makes sense since I haven't slept in about 20 plus hours
  5. Where do you play and what is your screen name?

Get this book Pot-Limit Omaha by Jeff Hwang, it will help alot.
  6. At one time I read it's appropriate to 3 bet crappy Aces preflop (like the AA82 no suit) if you can get 35% of your stack in preflop and play the hand out strong (of course watching board texture and of course pulling back if the flop comes KJ8 with two cards suited), does that actually make sense? Otherwise yeah when I play, and I'm obviously no expert, I'm looking to see flops more than 3 and 4 betting with weak aces and weak kings. I mostly play microdonk omaha tournaments, and I stay fairly tight without a nice textured 4 card hand or position.
  7. Many people say if you can 3 bet AAxx where xx is terrible, and get 35% of your stack in PF is positive because your pot bet on the flop would be all of your stack. I am a firm believer that hands like AA49 should only be flatted, and folded to a three bet PF. However, AAJT double suited and AAKK double suited are hands that you are praying to jam in PF.
  8. Yeah that makes sense. I get uneasy with the idea of jamming it all in with weak aces unless it's in a tournament against a big stack who is playing everything. I have no problems playing KKQJ ds and whatnot hard though. Omaha is just one of those games it's tough to get a grasp on for preflop play because everyone plays so different, so I like seeing a flop rather than going crazy preflop. Also, I think OP is flat out crazy jamming with the hands he discussed.

Here's an example of a above average AA hand I think, a king and one suit. This kind of hand you need to shove in a tournament situation don't you? It's tough because when 3 are in the hand obviously I don't have great equity or whatever, and in the end really I'm looking at 2 hands I don't really want to see I think (one high hand and one low hand so any board is pretty much covered). I'm happier if one turns over KJT8 and the other turns over QJJ9, aren't I?
