  1. Lets say your in the SB,And you pick up 3h 5h.The blinds are still small and you think this is a good spot.Do you raise ?Call a small raise?Or just call? I am a relatively new online player,Just looking for some helpful advice.
  2. It depends on the table dynamics.

If the players are merely calling small raises, and trying to play flop poker, then a small pot building raise can be used. BUT, if you are then confronted with a re-raise, you may be shut out from drawing to your small str8 or flush or 2-pair.

If you call, you are unlikely to be shut out unless the BB re-opens the betting when he wakes up with a hand, or he gets adventureous and tries the squeeze play against a table of limpers.

Calling a small raise might be accetable if you are good at post-flop play.

If you are new to poker, you might want to learn the basics first. Using the play with small cards might be a variance play, as long as, you are disciplined and don't try it very often.
  3. Fold. I'd play 56 or 67 suited at the very minimum depending on the action around the table. The more people at the table, the less desirable your hand will be.

Early in the tournaments, you want to play tight (premium hands, like PPs (55+), AK/AQ/AJ suited, and AKos). Use your own discretion based on what the table is like so far.

In the ring tables, those kinds of hands you probably want to avoid since you're playing to beat someone down, not take first place.

BB, you can check it down. SB? Fold.
  4. small suited connectors are hands meant to be played in position cheaply. You should avoid trying to play these hands OOP because they lose much of their value when you get put to tough decisions. when you play these hands in position many options open up to you, but when you play them OOP you either hit the flop hard or you have to fold.
  5. If no one has raised and you're in the sb , then you should definitely see a flop . Whether or not you raise is totally up to you for deceptive purposes .

Also , if I have something like 4-3 suited and there are two limpers in front of me and I have position over them , then I will see a flop . I may even raise with them but it would have nothing to do with my cards . You can even put 7-2 on them and I may raise if I know they will fold a high percentage of the time .
