  1. Just played a heads up match with a guy, who would let his timer tick all the way down to the last second on every decision, no matter pre or post flop. No matter what his decision was either. He was only playing one table so he was obviously doing this on purpose.

Every time he was out of position and had a hand he would let himself timeout hoping to induce a bet from me to try to get him to auto fold and when I did bet he would just auto min-raise every time.

I ended up beating him it was just very frustrating, very annoying and took about 25 min longer than any other heads up match I have played.

I tried talking to get him to speed up or even say anything but the guy didn't respond whole time.

Any experience or advice with someone playing like this before?

He almost put me on life tilt.
  2. Dont play him again and post his name so others dont either. I personally have little time for guys like this. I am hoping this is at high stakes because if he is doing this in a $5 HU match then he is a fool.

  3. I wish it was high stakes, it was a $5 HU Game

    His name is HPowell

  5. The worst thing you can do is encourage him to speed up, this is only a sign for him to keep doing it. Just ignore it, deal with it, and avoid him in the future.
  6. Well, for the future, you can not play him.

At the time though, you can't do anything, don't let his actions change your game. Just let him tick the time all the way down, and don't let it effect your game at all. Don't slow down your clock (he probably likes getting the blinds higher), don't fall into the betting because he's slowing it down, just play your game.

Any changes you make to your game will be for the negative, so just ignore that he's doing it.
  7. If it were me, I'd tilt off my stack for $5 just so I wouldn't have to put up with it.

That said, you def handled it better. Make a note and don't play with him.
  8. I don't necessarily think is an epidemic at the $5 but if I have a play a session of 20+ of these I find I run into a player like that to some extent.. def puts me on lifetilt

  9. I've played the same guy when I used to play SS HU SNGs, I think he watches TV eats his lunch and brushes his teeth while playing

  10. jus shove every hand and suck him out, and he'll learn his lesson

  11. Twas not a man my friend. I'm afraid you were heads-up with Tiffany Williamson.
  12. You know how bots are usually designed so they make decisions really quick?

Obv this guy made a bot that would stall every hand, so it continues to play perfect poker while its opponents tilt, and he doesn't have to waste his time ACTUALLY sitting there stalling like a douche.
  13. Played someone that did this a couple of nights ago. Told him I won't play him again. That was basically his game. He did not make good decisions. It took a while because of the stalling, but not many actual hands.
