  1. Just like the sick ass bbv graph thread (ill post some graphs in a bit) i figure for those that play cash and MTT we make a thread of your accomplishments and brags, and also your goals for next week.

Mine for next month - dont fuck up my bankroll again and stick to tourneys, stay the fuck out of cash, massive weakness (not really a weakness, just take shots that really screw me over when i get unlucky) or at least play cash way within the bank

so basically, post your results and goals for next month, and maybe look back on this thread for some motivation
  2. Jan has been the worse month ive had ever. Lets hope i run better in Feb!

  3. Lost about 50k in January, didn't play alot either.

Goal for February is to put some decent volume in mtt's again and maybe make some moniess.

  6. pretty horrible been putting in a little bit of volume(for me anyways) cut cash games out of the picture and proceeded to go on a non cash streak lasting at least 50 MTT's. 1/3rd of them being bubbles.

    hopefully febuary is my month.
  7. +$2640
  8. +3k in mtt's

was very pleased with january, though disappointed in going deep in the million and not making final table, and finishing 30th in 25k guarantee yesterday when i was top 5 with 50 left. still having trouble getting my first non 180 man victory
  9. I haven't played much.

So....pretty good, I guess. Tired of these low limits....wish I had a staker

let it be known I'm disappointed...my roi should be somewhere around 4000% for the month....if only I didn't donk myself out 14th in the 3r

  10. January can fuck off.
  11. who needs a staker. if youre so awesome, you can work your way up to big stakes after a few months of low stakes
  12. Why the hate?

It takes time to build up a bankroll large enough to support bigger buyins. Since having to pull my bankroll for real life issues, I've turned my 100 deposit into about a grand. And since I don't have the extreme amount of time to play like I used to, it will take even longer.

  13. had the month off basically to just rest, played 6 days of poker towards end of month, made $7.5k profit (which is about standard for a month for me) and made a couple of grand profit playing live tourneys.

goal for feb is to not start hating poker.

  14. im not trying to hate. but if you think youre good enough for the mid/high stakes, you can take a few months and build your roll. and have at it.

the only people who deserve to be backed are the people who have proved their worth at the high stakes. check out neverbeg.com and you can be staked by backers once you have earned your stripes playing low buy in tournies.
  15. Profited 8K this month and I feel I could still play a much greater volume. Goals for this month include not going crazy with 77 on the button to a mins raise deep in tournaments.

My goals for january were to hit play 2k-2.5k games and make at least at least 100k vpp, both of which I hit. I ran hotter than I ever expected for the month, mainly because I win 99% of races.

I'm looking forward towards grinding my goal of supernova elite and plan to continue playing a lot in Feb. My only additional goal is to spend more hours studying over hand histories and improving my game.
  17. thank god january is over. lost 2k live and online
  18. I plan on building my roll. I didn't realize my tongue-in-cheek comment was going to draw such a response, or I would have omitted it.

But since you asked, I have played medium stakes, I have played high stakes (though not extensively). I have finished top 3 in a Sunday major. I have finished top 100 in the Sunday Million.

    Thanks for the link though.

  19. My goal for Feb is to take every tournament mightily serious and to play my A game at all times. Tonight after not cashing in god knows how many tournies and just generally playing bad for a few days i sat down watched telly turned my PC off and everything. Then i just decided that i was gonna play my absolute best and try my hardest so i went back up stairs and loaded my PC back up and entered a few tournies. I final tabled one got unlucky in another and am deep in one more as we speak! Honestly try it sometime lol.

  20. january = best month i've ever had in poker. up 20K. 10 from two tournie cashes and 10 from 60 hours of online cash play. mainly 2-4. (with a little 3-6 and 5-10 sprinkled in)

as for february, i don't have too many high hopes. need to put in 150 hours at caesars so i'll probably only get an hour in a day online. and i haven't had a good record at caesars, so we'll see how that goes...

  21. In january I played 26 MTTs and only cashed in two :-(

However, one of them was an FT in the $500k guarantee tournament at PokerRoom for my life's biggest cash, $7k :-)

So pretty good. Prettty,, prreeetttyy, pprrreeetttyyyy... good.

My goal for February is simple: Play poker when I have the time, and have FUN doing it! :-D

  22. i was feeling invincible after an unbelievable oct-nov-dec... three 5 digit scores culminating w a 4th in the PS sunday mil worth 56K. january has destroyed all of that, my biggest volume month since i started taking this seriously and i couldnt have run worse or played worse. im questioning my abilities...questioning everything about poker. i think im better than this but maybe i'm not...aaaargh!!! hopefully february is better. quick message to everyone that found me at their table in 01/08...your welcome.

  23. best month ever for mtt's. Bigger one coming in Feb...weeee
  24. my experience with bad runs (and the same goes for my friends on this) is when you get out of them, you'll proceed to have a great run and feel like you're playing the best poker of your life. which you probably will be. just keep on playing through it if you can. it will end!

  26. I thought I had had a poor Jan but after quickly working it out im actually ahead of my target for each month of the year.

1st Baby is due in 2 weeks so could be gg to this and next months targets - wish me luck
  27. sick start, won 100 rebuy 1st day and had like 3 or 4 fts on the 1st. Then proceeded to go on a 20k downswing, mostly in plo. End of the month made a lil recovery. Overall I made maby 10k if Im lucky.
  28. awful

took a 1 outer on a big final table bubble where 7th place or better woulda pulled me into the black for the month.
