Hey guys im just wondering,
Can you actually be skillful at super hu sngs? the one's where u start with 500 chips?
The only reason I ask is although I have only played 373 of these on fulltilt my ROI is 15% for $129.50 profit. Normally it wouldnt mean nothing but on stars my HU stats are fucking awful... To be honest aswell tho some of my pokerstars hu sngs have been $50 and $100 ones when I've gone on tilt and tried to double my bankroll and they have also been a complete mixture of games. My HU stats at FT have been 95% omaha hi/lo and 5% omaha and holdem. Obv at the min I feel like I have an edge at omaha hi/lo and it seems to be working but im just wondering am I just running hot and how many games do I need to play before I can say im beating it! thats if you can actually beat super sngs in the long term! lol
p.s my great stats on PS :-)
Pokerstars GP- 1141, ROI -16% PROFIT -$1250 -
They require a good grasp of push/fold knowledge.

so this site is about helping each other! and i get 1 reply but 70 views! WTF!!!!

Here is a little different answer. The main thing you have to grasp is the concept of push/fold. Also, you are generally flipping coins all day in these things. And the best super turbo grinders generally have a 4-5% ROI over 1000's of games. But like I have posted before, those things will slowly crush your soul.

thanks gt465. u r correct they do crush ur soul! lol.
think i mite just stick to the standard 3min blind 1500 chip turbos. there fast enough and beatable to make it profitable....i guess i should ask myself, "why start gambling even more and bring down my edge"? -
your ROI% is definitely going to be a lot less; however you make up for it with the quantity of games you are able to play and the time each game takes...

the swings in these are just insane. you really can only have a slight edge vs another player, and that edge is your push/fold game. learn it and it will help you out tremendously. gl

They are skill... It will be hard to manage anything higher than a 4% ROI at best in them but obviously you can put in tons of volume in them. Most winning players range somewhere from the 1-3% ROI in them but push that edge with tons of volume that yield great results. They can be extremely sick at times and like many mentioned knowing push/fold is extremely valuable in this BUT it is far from the only skill in them. There are other dynamics that separate the good players from the best in these. If you can't manage tilt/swings they are obviously not for you.
