How did he know???? he must have a sick tell
just watch an enjoy......... -
How do you not just get up and walk out?

durrr's face is a classic.

Laak is god awful, and checks AA on every flop like a robot...his range is so polarized. Its clearly a great call but its not that ridiculous.
-
i think that's a little more accurate. a turn bet with QQ would not be good.

lol at "easy call" people, hopefully all levelers -
grinder is actually right .. my buddy and i talked about this hand and obviously antonius makes a great call but the call makes sense .. not going to explain further but basically laak either has a few exact hands or its a bluff .. he is never betting the way he did with a wide range of hands that have antonius beat

This was last season on HSP, right?

people have extreme double standards... wat makes this such a fantastic call is because it does make very sound logical sense... it's not 'nothing spectacular' because the reasoning behind the call is accurate, that's why it is a great call... if phil laak was the type to be 3 barrelling as he did with the same mannerisms widely for value then even if antonius' hand was good this time, people would all be saying how it was a lucky/donk call. you don't see many better calls than this that aren't as a result of some sick physical tell. saying this is an easy call is beyond retarded since phil laak 3 barrels off 6 figures approximately once every two years.

and i bet he was so sick after that hand, hell never do it again.

but i still dont think it was amazing. laak is suuuch a nit theres like 0% chance he has a hand besides AA imo. it literally is AA or a bluff the way he played it. KK he doesnt bet that much on turn for sure, as well as ak(he prob even checks). but the fact that 99.9999% laak has aa here, makes it a pretty good read. -
Why would a turn bet not be good? I doubt antonius has Kx in his range, other than K high flush draws and we really can't expect him to check shove or anything if we bet turn. The K is a good card to rep a bluff with and it would be best to bet turn with QQ over checking and then betting river since you can get value from draws by doing so..

Anyway this call really isn't that amazing but it's still a cool hand. -
lol @ negranu laughing his head off at the end

Did no one ever think that it was POSSIBLE that Phil Laak could have been value betting there?? That's why he got so upset about Antonious's call. I think it was still a good call in the end though. O yeah, before any of you donkeys say that a value bet is smaller piss off. I value bet half the pot at least everytime I do it... O yeah don't bother saying "level" either because turning $20 into $10,000 is all the level I need.

when this hand was posted before someone pointed out a possible tell on laak that maybe PA picked up on? laak didnt do his odd amount bet like in the previous hsp seasons when he had a monster. pa seemed to be on to it already but the bet amount tell probably helped

if you're gonna be short and sweet, at least be short, sweet and grammatically correct.

and if u r gonna critique someone's grammar, make sure they have made a grammar error and not a spelling mistake

No, Laak checks AA on river. Only thing he would bet that river with is KK and QQ and he isnt betting QQ on the turn.
