1. I'm currently playing 22 tables, mostly cash games, and browsing the web and talking on aim. Single tabling online poker must be the most boring thing to do in the world. Who does that and how do you not kill yoruself from boredom?

2. You must have ADD to be able to click around that fast
3. lol dan i hate you.
4. i just single-tabled a 25-50 nl cash game on party poker (obv brag - won too). the only boring part was waiting for all the fkn multi-tablers to act. there's so much you can do to increase your edge by PAYING ATTENTION!!!!!

5. I'm on the Zpaceman side of town. I just feel I can't play my best playing more than 4 at a time.
6. How do you do it 22 at the same time. I can handle maybe 2 to 4 tournaments tables at once. Anymore then that I feel like my head is going to explode.
7. I agree with Zpace about one tabling but who wants to one table 1/2 when there is so much dead cash at the table. Green plastic talks about when you get into higher stakes like 10/20+ were playing one table can be very profitable vs the players who multi table and are on cruise control.
8. Yeah if u got ADD by all means play 36 tables while on aim and posting on p5s. Not all people are the same, in fact, some people play poker for a profitable hobby. I know of a single-tabler who maintains a 16% roi in avg stake $100 sitngo, and has a profit of 25k....What an idiot.
9. yeah at 1/2 level i would be happy doing 4 tables (i rarely if ever play 1/2). i don't play much cash or put in long sessions, i was just frustrated after busting from all my tournys so i really focused on beating a 25-50 nl table to get my mtt buy-ins back. i noticed most of the players were at at least 4 tables so i felt i made some easy money just out-thinking some of them on a few hands.

i'm not even sure how to calculate my bb/100 rate, lol, but i made 1750 in 55 hands (i only played for 45 mins - not easily bored just wanted stop playing to watch the calzaghe boxing). looking through the session, around half of those winnings were from hands where i'm pretty sure it was the extra thought/analysis that helped me win (mostly by bluffs or very well calculated value bets).

i really ought to consider taking cash games more seriously, i could probably make more money at it than mtts but i just hate the feeling of putting a few thousand at risk every hand. how do i get over that feeling? (obv reply about proper BR management - no i cant really justify playing 25-50 nl with my BR atm except as a form of gambling)

10. As long as hes not in it for the money then 1 tabling is the way to go. We already had this conversation though.
11. if he 2 tabled he would prolly be up 40k and be laxin giving up 15k watta idiot
12. i think Dcal is talking about me
13. maybe he enjois crushing one table at a time after work while watching tv, fuck if i know? Actually he probly doesnt know u can have more than 1 game at a time
14. i dont really like educating people but theres nothing i love more than retards who play 22 tables and have no idea whats going on while the 4 tablers are destroying them over and over

15. plz post hh's...
16. lol daut.

17. OP. You sir, are a fucking poker God.

The rest of us are feeble minded donkuses.

Please post again after you have become The Master of the Universe.
18. I play 8 tables but that's only because I play .25-.50 and the players there are either drooling retards or overly predictable, with few exceptions. I think there comes a limit where you actually give up so much expectation from not paying attention that you'd probably be more profitable just playing 4 tables instead of 8+.
19. I'm sorry. What was the point of this post?
20. i like doin 8 while watchin movies
21. I can't believe there are people in the world who single table
by DCal Zone on 11/3/2007 21:25

i can't think of a creative way to insult the OP right now, but i think reposting the title is enough.
22. It's amazing though how many multitablers don't profit, but would profit playing one.
23. i agree with you DCal....

single tabling is the most boring shit on the planet...

i've been 20+ tabling the last few days while watching tv and all sorts of other crap while keeping an ROI of a little over 10%

and yes i think b/c of online poker i am getting ADD...click click click...
24. Does not matter how many tables you play, it only matters how much cold cash you have in your safety deposit box.
25. I only play one table at a time, occassionally two tables, but never more.

This is not my primary source of income, and my ROI is much higher playing 1-2 tables than if I played 6 or 10 or 22 at once. I guess my focus is just on winning, so I am sure I sacrifice $ per hour, but I am quite content with my style.
26. I'll be the multi tabling donkey who is Nova Elite in October next year. I literally went out and celebrated when i found out they upped the cash limit to 24 tbls. PM Slickster989 he'll tell you the same.

27. It's all about game selection, really. Probably not +EV to 22 table 25/50 games... definitely +EV to 22 table 9man SNG's and low stakes cash games where robotplay pays. That said, I think being content to 22 table low stakes cash games forever forfeits your chances of moving up to games Daut is at where he can prob win as much in a 1/2 table good sesh as your Nova Elite package is worth.

28. well the nova elite pckg combined with all the fpps you accrue is around 250k and i really hope i can break even at .5-1 :)

29. i single table a good amount of the time

30. whenever I do 22 tables I drop down 3 levels to do so. I can only 4 table my regular stakes
