I do enjoy it when I see a final table, particularly a high buy-in with very big $$ at stake, where when down to 3-4 players there is always that one player who not only doesn't want to cut a deal, but makes it a point to proclaim themselves a vastly superior poker player to all the others that remain, and then proceeds to get SMOKED by the rest of the table.

I don't understand the mentally of people who think that when a tournament is down to a few players, one player owes it to the others to accept a deal or something. If you think you have an edge why would you take a deal? Obviously the best player is not always going to win but it doesn't necessarily mean that taking the deal was the right move. Play to win imo.

No question, I 100% agree with you.

But really, is it entirely necessary to make it a point to proclaim themselves a vastly superior poker player to all the others that remain?
