i dont have a checking acct please help

    where can i cash a pokerstars check under 1000$?
    where do the checks say they are from? do you think walmart would case it?

    How do you not have a checking account? The only people I know that dont have checking accounts are people under 16 and people who don't have jobs and even then a lot of minors have a checking account parents set up for them at an early age.

    You dont have your age listed in your profile so me thinks you arent 18 or you have never had a job, which would be rare if you are 18+ years of age, thus not having a checking account.

    i owe the bank money not alot to some but around 500$ and i am paying it off with this money i won but in the mean time i need to cash the check. question where and how?

    Go to the bank, pay your debt off, sleep better at night and maybe, just maybe, the banks will lower the fees they charge the rest of us to support the losses they take on people like you.

    Ok, that was a little harsh but, really, if you screwed up...(everyone's been there) get it taken care of so you don't to write such a ridiculous post.

    Do you know someone with a checking account? If so, flip your check over and write the following:

    "Pay to Ima Retard." Sign your name.

    --Tell Ima Retard to sign below this and take it to his bank. When they hand him a stack of cash, make sure he eventually gives it to you.

    most towns have more than one bank in them.. open up another acct.

    i am paying off the bank with this money i just have never got a check from stars and i was wanting to know who it shows it is from.

    umm just go to currency exchange or some check cashing place. then go pay off your bank and open new account

    something isnt adding up.

    IM guessing a few things here.

    the name on the check, is not your name, so either you stole this from someone elses account, or possibly muli-accounting using different names, and you are now screwed because you dont have ID for that name?

    You really arent paying the bank back its money, but you want to find a way to cash the check so you can keep it all.

    Just like someone checking teh entire way and firing at the river with a bluff is obv, this is obv too, something isnt right with your story

    I have a real answer for you. I've been there so I understand and won't hold anything against you.

    pokerstars checks are from, if you have 2 pieces of ID and a in your area you should be able to go into the bank and cash it with no problems. If not, find a pawn shop or low budget check cashing place in a poor neighborhood or something. One where the owner is probably behind the counter and tell them straight up whats going on. If you have to go as far as writing up a quick contract that allows them to make sure the check clears before they pay you and wait a few days then do that.

    Congratulations on the poker success, get your finances back together and all the best in the coming years.

    calm the fuck down and find something else to fantasize and turn into some elaborate story. If you overdraw a bank account and they report you to a collections agency you cannot go to the bank and pay them off with a check, you cant even take cash you have to settle directly with collections agency.

    whole nation in financial crisis, many people in this situation. large % of population does not have a bank account and depend on check cashing places. obv you are so fortunate that you think its more likely this guy is a MA rather than in debt. how disconcerning.

    I was with you on the question of why not just deposit it at the bank and let them use the funds to pay it off. If you stopped there you were *+EV poster* in your own terms.

    However- you went to -EV and TOOL status. OP only posted 2 things, neither of which jump to all the crazy conclusions you posted:

    So all we know is that he wants to cash a check and wonders what they look like since he hasn't likely gotten one before and has probably read about check cashing problems. (My assumptions in italics)

    And then he explains that he owes the bank...and implies that he can't cash the check at the bank. Jeez, maybe the says they won't give him any privileges at all until his account is back in order. Who said anything about being in collections? Or fraud? We don't know.... maybe he was just being brief and trying to avoid a hassle... who knows or cares?

    Jesus.....probably some kid who just doesn't have the info is all.
